I booked my hotel through what I thought was a good company.  My boss found the same hotel with the same rooms for less money so I called the 800# and spoke to Eric and explained the price difference and was told that I would be given a refund on both bookings.  I was to get $31.27 & $77.25 .  What showed up on my credit card statement was $43.22.  I called and spoke to Alex and then was passed to "Gabby the supervisor" the supervisor was less than helpful.  It seems Eric has put in his note that I agreed to the $43.22, which is a lie.  I spent at least 45 minutes with "Gabby" and was offered hotel bucks and 10% off on other rooms, but was told that she could not refund my money, having worked in credit and been a supervisor I know that this is also a lie,  if they were able to refund some money it is possible to refund the rest. This so called supervisor also tried to tell me that there were not rooms available at that time to price match, she was lying,  I booked an additional room for that same trip through price line.co and they showed both a double and king available.  Not only did she lie she did not listen, I told her that I had just come back from staying in the hotel and that it was not full and had verified through the desk clerk that there plenty of rooms available.  It was the clerk that was curious as to why I had booked 3 rooms ,2 of which through IAN travel  / Expedia.com in December and 1 room through priceline.com on the day of our arrival.  I am very upset ,even more so since I have been reading other peoples nightmares both on this sight and another having to do with complaints against IAN Travel service/Expedia.com.. This company needs to be sued and put out of business.  You hear all the time about fraudulent practices but this company has been at it for quite some time according to the age of some of the complaints.  I have disputed the charges with the credit card company and changed my account so that they cannot add something on out of spite. Hopefully the disputed charge will cause them some problems and maybe make me feel better.  The credit card company reminded me of something that I forgotten that we used to do when I worked in credit, I will be calling them to see if my agreement to accept less of a refund was recorded,  what do you want to bet that it was not?  As I told Gabby I have witnesses to the whole transaction, why would I call and ask for the shortage of $65.30 on my refund ,if I agreed to take less.  I hope that someday when something like this happens to her that she remembers shafting other people. What goes around does come around.
