On 25 December 2013, I booked 2 rooms for 5 nights in Hyatt Regency Long Beach for me and my friend from 26-30 December via paypal and the paid to hotels.com I requested smoking rooms king bed and the booking has been processed immediately. We arrived at hotel and the receptionist stated that the entire hotel is non smoking area and my friend should smoke outside every time! this is rude situation and my friend was angry for this mistreatment and called the managers and calm him down until they accepted to cancel his reservation and deposit but they couldn't release the payment because hotels.com was 3rd party site and they have not responsibility to do so. Until then he checked out and I decided to stay at this hotel and called hotels.com to partial refund my money back because I paid for all rooms via paypal by my visa card and they called the hotel and they knew about the issue but they refuse to refund my money and they offered me a coupon to future bookings so I refused because LA my final destination and I filed claim through paypal and the claim for partial refund is failed and contacted them several times and no response so I will request chargeback from my bank to sort the partial refund as soon as possible
