My first encounter with hrs usa was when I opened my best buy account and I used it a few times then it was maxxed out. Taking fault for what I had done around post(12-27-2001).
I made payments for $45 and $50 each month and the limit was $700, so from 12-01 to now 06-02 my payments should have dropped I have never ben late nor have I made a purchase so why in the hell do they claim i still owe them $642 so I called and they said I'm paying for life insurance that comes with the card I have and I navere even signed up for life insurance that they claim increases each month from $16-$24 a month I hate the company hrs usa and all who are co-op with it once I pay my bill off I am closing my account. and another thing , why does it take so long to process a payment when it is only in the city fo industry that I live maybe 20- 30 mins away from.
They are total scum and hope their business goes bankrupt, oh yeah, it won't because they're getting rich off of what they are chargeing people with accounts with them, those scum-bags make me sick to my stomach!!

HRS SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED AND STOPPED BY FEDERAL GOV DOJ

I take issue strongly with the so called and doubious rebuttal of the HRS employee. It does not matter how long in advance you send your payments to this sleezy operation, it is always "late" as it is intentionally posted late.
This company has ruined my daughters credit. As for "responsibility" of reading the contract in regard to the "credit disability" I pulled the contract, there is no statement in the contract that warns the "life Insurance" will increase in premium.
Also, the retailers I fear are also not so honest in helping with the credit app. In the state of California it is illegal to just add Credit Disability to a sales contract without the expressed and informed agreement of the consumer.
The retail clerks, if noticing the box is not checked to agree to this, will send it in as an agreement.
In my presence, with me on the other end of the phone my daughter called theCity of Industry to let them know that not only did she not accept this exptra "coverage" but she never and to this day still has never received a contract or policy of this coverage. She told them she did not want this. Recently, when mde a large payment to decrease the ammount pwed in an effort to pay this fraudlent, sleezy off and never have anything to do with them, she discovered she now put at over $16.00 than the original purchase.
So, to the employee before you began to insult about irresponsiblity of consumers you need to look at the company you represent and again at yourself and ask just what you are about to condone and participate in these activities. You do not know what you are talking about or you are simp;y intentionally dishonest. My daughter sends her payment well in advance of 7 days they are not posted until your company can charge late fees. She sent in money orders to prevent this, they suddenly "can't find the money order'.
She asks that they remove some phantom insurance coveage, they continue to charge. In order to prevent this illegal holding of payments she now has to pay hrs %10 more so she can make a payment by phone to them to avoid their dishonesty. This is also illegal collections.
To bad you are so underhanded apparently you must work for and condone and participate in such dispicable activities. Hopefully when this company is investigated you will be also.
How dare you make such a rebuttal on behalf of this company when you yourself have probably actively participated in the same activities the consumers on this web site are reporting.
At last count there are hnearly 200 complaints by consumers just on this web site from various locations across the country. So to your thinking all of these people are irresponsible and picking on HRS?
Get informed on the way this company is actually operating before you begin name calling of consumers that are providing you with a paycheck. You "loyality" to such an operation is questionable.

Credit Insurance

As an FYI, it might be interesting to note that HRS applications, not mentioning almost every other finance company, offer some form of Credit Insurance. In many cases, the customer is required to sign off on the portion that says they would NOT like to elect insurance. Credit insurance is a privilege for responsible people who are cautious about their credit. Obviously, said "responsible people" who have paid attention to the application would have followed the directions correctly. But, as it seems in many cases, these "people" are more worried about financing a projection TV they would never afford rather than bother to take a couple of minutes to read the fine print.
As for the payment woes, HRS clearly states on every statement that to ensure your payment is posted on time, you should send it in AT LEAST 7 days before the due date. It is not their problem if you wait until the day before your due date because you live right next door to the City of Industry.
