CREDIT KEEPER ripprd me off, and contacting them is near impossible.
On 12/17, I cancelled my account and recieved a cancel number. "Adrian" @ CreditKeeper told me her would cancel and refund my money.

On 12/18, my card was charged another 6.95.
On 12/19, I called CreditKeeper again. "Adrian" said that my account was STILL ACTIVE, and he would now cancel it for me. "This is what I can do for you..." he said, flying exclamation points in his voice as if he were doing me a FAVOR.

I still haven't recieved my $$$.

Upon calling Credit Keeper, (which I now refer to as Credit Crips, as cancelling your account is harder than quitting a street gang in East L.A.), they say,
"OH! We just handle the service. WE DON'T BILL YOU."

After getting the number for the people who bill for the service (?), they were monsters on the phone. No help. No sympathy.

This company put my checking into the red for a few days, as I keep one checking acct for online use/small billing. Since they sneakily charged me before refunding me (on 12/24), it put me right back to ZERO, where the Credit Crips still owe me the money that ADRIAN said he would refund.

This company does not stand by thier word. They won't even acknowlege my initial cancellation, saying I never called, despite the cancellation number.
The left hand doesn't even know what the left hand is doing at this place, and you, the consumer will be billed and then shut down. They don't care.

CreditCrips has a horrible BBB record, as well as many bad reviews on the web.

DO IT YOURSELF. Get your own reports. When the Crips sent me my "report", they did so SANS REPORT. It just said 'we were unable to access your report, so we have sent you an application form..."
Yes, it looked glossy and beautiful, but w/out my credit report in it, what the heck did I pay for? Why won't they give me the money back?

They are SHADY, and do not want you to report them.
I have reported them to the BBB, and today to the Attorney General in Connecticut.
When I asked the "supervisor", who I shall call "Dumbell", if they were in CT, and if that was the right Attorney General to contact she said "I don't know."

I said "You DONT KNOW if you are in Connecticut or NOT?" to which she replied, "Yes, we are in connecticut."
UNBELIEVABLE.

A credit company that wrecks your credit, charges your account without authorization, and refuses to help you is more trouble than it's worth.

I WANT my xxxx MONEY BACK!

I've worked for CreditKeeper well over a year, and I can say first hand, that I have never refused to cancel a membership. Contacting us is easy, I handle hundreds of calls a day personally and I am one of many.  Further more, refunds take one to two billing cycles to reflect on the billing statement. This is due to your personal card's billing cycle. If that seems like a long period please remember it took us 30 days to bill you in the first place. If you saw double billing in a month check the transaction dates versus the posting dates. A lot of times your card service will carry over last month's bill to the current month. Try looking for your refund on February's statement. Or if you prefer leave your member ID# and Ill check myself, and tell you when to expect the money or if your card service needs a "Ripoff Report"

I agree, you are the type of person who blames others for your own mistakes. You enrolled in creditkeeper, never got a report because there is something not matching in your credit file (too many alias's?) and for your security the report wasn't pulled. You called to cancel, the price was lowered to help you out, then you still bounce checks and call this service a rip-off? The sad thing is they would have helped you figure some ways to improve your credit scores, like they did me. I went from a 679 to a 755 in 6 months with them. Well worth the $10 (they are the ones getting ripped off with such a low price) I spend every month.

You can't be serious about this being a scam. You even got the service cheaper than me??!!! They give you all 3 credit reports and scores anytime you want. they alert you right away when changes are posted to your credit report. How is that a rip off. You would pay $10 at the least for EACH credit report from the credit bureau's themselves. You are just mad because you don't manage your money well and blamed them, and you canceled a service that would have really helped you build a good credit rating.

Both my husband and I are extremely pleased with Credit Keepers service. We have had no need to cancel since signing up over 2 years ago. I can readily access my report and credit scores very quickly on-line. It is a great tool to keep aware of what is going on with our credit history and alerts us when we need to do some work on our credit scores.

I just signed my son up for the service too, and recommend it to everyone.

Just wanted to add that only ONE person I dealt with @ Credit Crapper actually TRIED to help, but could do nothing.

The rest of the morons there, from the bottom to the top, are rude, dismissive and above all- they are SALESPEOPLE- not "Customer Service Reps"
They provide NO customer service; when you try to cancel, they keep your account active anyway. When you tell them you cancelled and give them the cancel number thet THEY GAVE YOU, they will lie and say you never called.
No explanation is given as to why they don't cancel when instructed to.
This is a big scam.
A credit agency that can ruin your credit. Reaaal smart.

DON'T DO IT.
