I had hired Nee to do some simply web design jobs. I found him on guru.com and we had 2-3 successful exchanges and I was happy with his work. We even became friends as I told him about my upcoming wedding. He did a very good job and supported his work weeks after it was completed. He always delived what I asked. I was looking to have a simple mobile app created. We agreed to terms, and as I thought we had developed a good relationship, I thought it would be ok to give him his deposit directly via PayPal. I sent him $600 and things looked to be going in the right direction. We exchanged emails, he asked questions about the design and so forth. Then suddenly, he stopped returning emails and chats. Weeks went by. I disputed the transaction on PayPal (he provided a bogus tracking number, so I knew he was still checking his emails.) It has been about 6 weeks now, and I haven't heard from him. I can only assume I've lost my cash and he planned on ripping me off from the start.
