Unfortunately, I found this website after I had already purchased their yearly service contract for over $300. This company is incredibly good at hiding their true colors and I've looked extensively for iyogi revews about this company and I'm only finding reviews written about iYogi, BY iYogi. I believe that they are writing their own reviews because of the grammar and spelling in each of the reviews. They don't seem to be written by someone whose English is their first language.

Anyway, back to our original reason for posting this review of iyogi. We purchased their service a little over a year ago and have been waiting for it to be over. They constantly call for renewal period, but WE ARE NOT INTERESTED. During that year we had to hire a separate online computer repair company, www.safepcfix.com to properly repair our computer. After the second time of having to hire another company to repair the original virus issue we hired them for, we signed up with the year contract with the other company.

During our tenure with these guys, they would tell us we had more problems with our computer than what we actually had. We had to contact an internet provider for internet services, safepcfix.com, to repair the machine and fix the mistakes they made. This happened on a couple of occasions. We decided it was far better to purchase the actual service agreement from a US based company (i.e. the one above.) Their technicians were easy to understand and explained the problems that iYogi caused with our machine.

Buyers beware...

Insulting response -

AUTHOR: Jtanner - ()

After some more research, I discovered that iYogi is 100% based in India.

Unfortunitely, American investors have poured millions of dollars have poured into iYogi in an effort to push out US based businesses and take over the computer repair sector with cheap technicians that provide a HORRIBLE service.

No American should support iYogi. Do you want a technician that is getting paid $1.00 US dollar PER HOUR to work on your computer? How can you trust a company that pays their people so little money? When we used them to repair our computer, they MADE IT WORSE over and over again. They  would always apologize and say, "not to worry, we'll get it fixed!"

Who has time to sit in front of their machine for 4 hours while these "technicians" fix the problems they're causing?

$169 for a year of computer support is NOT worth it. Use your money on a US based company. As I mentioned above, the company, www.safepcfix.com filled us in on more information about iYogi and how they operate. They went through our machine and identified EVERY SINGLE problem and how it happened and how it was caused. It boiled down to an imporperly trained technican changing settings and pushing buttons on my computer until it was hardly usable for me and my family.

Take your money elsewhere. And while I might agree with people that suggesting another company in place of another is not politically correct, I believe it is important to inform people of GOOD companies that DO what they say they will. With so many scams abound, you never know what you're getting yourself into. Safepcfix did an excellent job with our machine and I trust them completely.

BTW - before posting this review, I read iYogi's canned response (above) on MANY other reviews. They're trying to save face by posting their A rating. They have an "A" rating because they PAY for Better Business Bureaus program for businesses. Its not because they earned it. Look how many complaints they have.

Should any LEGITIMATE business have 221 people file BBB complaints against them? What about the companies that have never heard of the BBB? Where are their voices heard?

I emailed them at iYogicare@iyogi.com and guess what? They told me they would have a technician look at it. Why would I want their tech to get access to my computer again? Just to mess it up again? NO THANK YOU!
