Towards the latter half of May, my ipod classic began to malfunction. I had taken the ipod to an Apple store, and they told me the hard drive was dead, requiring $130 for a new hard drive. Rather than pay for the repair and to get a 2nd opinion,I submitted my payment for an ipod diagnostic test for my 6th generation, 80gb ipod classic (silver.)

I followed ifixipodsfast.com shipping instructions, including a delivery confirmation that I received. Since receiving the confirmation I have e-mailed the support e-mail address twice, the only form of communication available, and never received a response.

I believe ifixipodsfast.com is a fraudelent company, stealing ipods and possibly reselling the components.

Evan still mad??? Perfect!

AUTHOR: ifixipodsfast.com - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, April 10, 2010

After emailing Evan NUMEROUS times over the course of 3 months plus sending forwards from two different email servers I put Evan's iPod aside in the "unanswered section". When I get a chance I go through the unanswered section and send back iPods that I do not receive answers from the owners.

I politely sent back Evan's iPod with information regarding the iPod, the reason why it wasn't shipped back (yes I'm busy but I take care of my customers who actually respond to my emails) and told him that his iPod is the same way it was when I received it (it was not taken apart, it was not parted out like he accused, and he got back his broken iPod.

I do not appreciate being accused of stealing or parting out iPods when in fact Evan is at fault for failing to receive the emails I had been sending ALL ALONG (I instruct everyone who has a spam blocker to allow emails from service@ifixipodsfast.com

I bend over backwards for my customers and give the best possible service as the lowest possible price.

Received ipod back

AUTHOR: evan5000 - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, February 27, 2010

On December 5th, I received my ipod back in the same condition (non-working) with the following letter:

"Dear X,
After trying to contact you for several weeks after talking to you regarding your iPod the iPod was put on a shelf and sat there awaiting your response. I noticed you created a post on ripoffreport about my business and claimed I was stealing iPods and parting them out (which is about as inaccurate as possible as your iPod is intact and hasn't even been opened.) I go through iPods that I don't have any answer on and send them back whenever I have a chance to do so. The volume of iPods I receive on a yearly basis is more than you can imagine and with me providing the only source of work it's hard keeping track of an iPod (I get people who email me six months after the fact asking if I can still fix their IPod because they haven't have money for six months to fix it.) Upon receiving your iPod and verifying that I never stole anything from your iPod or did anything to it I'd appreciate that you send an update to ripoffreport revising your comments about my business. I'm a legit business in every way and simply have had trouble keeping track of who's receiving the emails I send out and who isn't.

The issue with your iPod is as follows:

The iPod needs a replacement hard drive which is a simple fix but a difficult install.

I apologize that it has taken me this long to return your iPod but rest assured it was safe the entire time in my possession and was never "parted out" or used in the manner you suggest."

When I first received this letter with the iPod, I was furious, because it suggested that an inaction on my part caused this dilemma. I don't want to spend the time breaking down every single point made by the owner, but I will say this:
1. The owner never contacted me, even after I send numerous e-mails with account information
2. I do not find the owner's lack of labor as a fault of the customer. Frankly, if he is receiving so many ipods, stop offering to repair them or hire additional labor to help. But to suggest you cannot perform your job properly due to your decision to be the only person to repair iPods is ridiculous.
3. Per the owner's request, this is my update. Yes, the owner did not part my iPod. Nonetheless, I believe his decision to blame poor business practices on lack of labor relative to the volume of iPods is unprofessional. I would never recommend anyone use this service. Maybe that will help with the large volume.
