  On February 27th 2013 my husband and i bought a 98 Ford Explorer from these scam artists.  We were told all was fine with the truck and that their machanic has looked over it and there was nothing wrong. It came with a 30 day/1000 mile warranty whichever came first. This covers the transmission, engine, and differential. They would cover 25% of labor and 25% of parts. Although we had to take the vehicle to thier mechanic which was 2 hours away. We were planning a 736 mile trip so we wanted to make sure the breaks and tires all were ok so we took it to our mechanic 20 minutes up the road on March 13th. The Ripoff begins.

On March 13th we got a call from our mechanic saying that there were many things wrong with this vehicle. Starting with the front break pads and going down the list: Right upper ball joint w/ control arm, left upper ball joint, 2 front shocks, 2 rear shocks and in the recommendations section of our mechanics report states possible engine vavle damage.

My husband called this company to tell them what we were told and they blew us off saying that since we took it to a different mechanic to have the breaks checked they were not held responsible. At this point no work had been done not even the breaks. Every time we called to talk to the owner we were told they werent available or not there at the time. They would refuse to take messages from us and if we were lucky enough to leave a message we wouldnt get a call back. With this being our only vehicle we could not continue to drag it out so we asked our mechanic to look at the engine and see if there was a issue with the engine. That was an understatement. We ended up paying out $1400 to replace the engine a week after entering the shop.

Now on May 14th I was driving and had an issue with the steering. I had a older friend who used to work as a mechanic for a big name dealership in our are come look at it. It turned out to be my front passenger side wheel bearing. After replacing that he noticed a steering issue become worse. Turns out now its my transfer case.

 

For all this to go wrong on a vehicle that we were told had nothing wrong with it obviously this place has no clue how to fix vehicles or no business selling vehicles. When we told them that their mechanic was a joke and obviously has no clue how to work on vehicles they told us that maybe our mechnic ( who has been in business for over 30 years) needed to go to school to know what broken parts look like.

This company has done nothing to help with the lemon they have sold us or taken the time to even apologize for selling us a vehicle that does not fit what they described.

You must be disappointed that your mechanic and your friend/mechanic both missed all of those problems when they inspected the vehicle prior to purchase.
