December 2013 my mother’s car was rear ended by a truck. The owner of the truck was deemed at fault by his insurance company Infinity Auto Insurance. Infinity had told me that for the repairs to be done to my mother’s car that the car will just need to be taken to a auto body shop and that they will cover the rental car and the damages. Wendy Sanchez, the infinity insurance representative that was handling my mother’s case had verbally told me that the rental vehicle will "be covered as long as my mother's damage car was being worked on by the body shop". My mother had the rental car from 12/23/2013, which was the day we dropped of her car for work at the body shop till 1/20/2014 which was the day that the repairs were done and my mother's car was ready for pick up. Rental car price came out to be $1,303.53. Infinity Insurance is only compensating roughly $500 as per Wendy Sanchez who I spoke to 1/30/2014. She said that her manager Kyle Norman had only signed off on the refund check for 14 days for our rental car even though Wendy Sanchez had reassured me that "as long as our car is in the auto body shop, the rental car will be covered." I have called and left a voice mail on Kyle's answer machine but have not heard anything back. Wendy Sanchez had told me there is nothing I can do to fight there decision besides calling her manager. From the start I did not do anything without asking Wendy Sanchez as I never had to file a claim like this before so I made sure I covered my bases. I ask what kind of car we could rent, with whom, what would be covered and how. Even when the auto body shop went pasted two weeks of working on our car I called Wendy to ask if this was fine and she said "yes."
