Here is a copy of the dispute letter that we sent to Integra after being charged Excessive Ealry Termination Fees!
They are an example of Corporate America's lack of caring for anyone but themselves. We terminated our service 18 days prior to the end of one of our services. We where told that we would get a prorated bill for the remaining 18 days of service.
That was not so, we got hit with an Excessive Early termination fee. We went through all of the proper channels and procedures to terminate our service honorably. We got stabbed in the back. We feel betrayed and angry at Integra and will NOT recommend them for anything. The way we and other customers have been treated is a crime, and a very bad business practice. So Buyer Beware!
"Letter of Dispute
Dear Integra Telecom:
Our decision to terminate service was due to our phone and internet service going down regularly during and after storms. We had 18 trouble tickets related to service outages. This was hurting our business and service to our customers, and forced us to make the change.
We have received a final demand letter regarding charges from our termination of service with your organization. Our records reflect that we had terminated 18 days from our original contract expiration. When we sent the Letter of cancelation to you on Oct 2012 wishing to terminate service Dec. 2012. We where told that we will be billed for the remaining days (18) of the contract which was until Dec. 2012. We had expected that, and we where told to expect a minimal bill for the remaining days of the contract.
We had received a call in January 2013 regarding the termination fee and we where not told of the excessive amount. This is almost double the entire monthly bill we normally paid per month for your service. Our owner had called at the end of January to discuss the bill and was told that they would look into waiving the fees and only bill for the remaining 18 days of service. We had been waiting for the adjustment since. This we feel is fair and we where waiting for a corrected bill.
We feel that these fees are extremely excessive. We wish to dispute the charges and the claim by Integra that we should be held liable for excessive early termination fees such as these for the remaining 18 days of service. We where never told the amount that we would be charged, it was always stated as a 18 day prorated fee. Your staff minimized the cost from the beginning of this process."
Subsequently, they turned us into collections. It's apparent that they do not care. DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING FROM THEM
I wish I considered checking the reviews before I entered into the agreement. There seems to be a pattern here. The reviews about this company are terrible and they all are compaining about the same thing. Lack of caring, and bad customer service. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
