I ordered a report for $4.99 from Intelius for information on one phone number. I was given option when ordering to sign up for a Premier Membership and only pay .99 cents for info on phone number. I declined and chose to pay $4.99 for one time service. Next thing I know, I got a welcome to Intelius Premier membership email. I believe it is almost $20 a month. I immediately called and customer service person offered no explanation on how this happened. Only offered to credit my account..in 5-7 days I believe. From way customer service rep acted, I'm guessing it is typical business for them; sign people up for something they don't want, charge them and hopefully customer won't notice.
