Yes Interop is bad news, in my opinion. As a black male, I was treated horribly there. Fox News is blaring in the waiting room - in the Dallas office and in the home office location, Fort Myers. I mean blaring. That says something.
There were very few minorities there and the ones that were there huddled together - in fear. You really could not express a lot of things for fear of reprisal (political views etc.)
There is a collection of white males who run everything (i.e., they are invited to all the meetings) and everyone else is in this big bull pen and just does their work. We were never invited to any meetings. It's a family business - the Dwyers - and most of the people in that good ol boy network are family or friends of family. Almost no females and no minorities.
If you are not a white male in my opinion you will not feel comfortable working at Interop at all. It is very hostile-feeling to persons of color - especialy black males. I got out of there quick.
