I would like to advise you of a story that consumers need to be aware of regarding owning a timeshare with Interval Interbnational International Timeshare company that I want consumers to be aware of and not to be scammed into or talked into getting a timeshare from them when they tell you how great it is as well as putting you through a bogus 90 minute presentation for 90 minutes in order to try to get you to purchase one abd give you gigifts or discounts on things to sit through there presentation.
This past month we have had nothing but trouble with them becuase we had got a vacation getaway week from them back in November to go there for our 10 year anniversery and a couple months later we found out that my wifes father and my father-in-law are getting married in Maui along with our step sister so we called to change the date and explained to them the situation but not only they didn't care, they were all rude on the phone as wellas when I called i kept being trasnfered to the wrong departments after being on hold for about a half hour or so listening to stupid music.
Now they tell you to take out insurance witch we did incase we acancel although there insurance policy is only if you get sick and are unable to fly you need a doctor notte to back it up or they won't refund you or let you exchange your week. Further there disclosure book is all a bunch of information that is misleading along with scamming you and Interval International commiting fraud by refusing to refund your money that could be over $1,000.00 or so .
So that gives them the right to keep it when you have to change your date for a legitimate reason without having to give them a explanation. Further when you take insurance out that means it's good for any reason other then medical other then what the heck is the point to take insurance out.
Further as you probably are aware there are several reports on the internet as well as in this web site regarding Interval International Timeshare as how they lye, mislead you, scams you, causes fraud by not refunding your money. As well as causing you aggravation by having you to lose money from your airline tickets,hotel,car rental,etc. due to there scamming operation. It's a total disgrace when a company gives you a hard time about changing your week for a wedding.
What are they going to do tell you you need a doctor note if for some reason god for bid you have a funeral that you have to go to or give that will be next. I advise you all consumers if you had or have problems like my wife and I are going through right now is to call your credit card company explain the situation what happened with the scamming timeshare company so they can suspend the charge while they investigate the matter that way Interval International won't receive any money until the investigation is over. Further if it takes that you need to file a class action law suit againest them for misrepresentation,fraud,scamming operation, etc.
I would consider that very carefully after seeing several stories from other peoiple on the web and how they sued as well for same type of reasons. The bottom line is Interval international meeds to be put in there place once in for all with there lyes, scamming, fraud, misrepresentation once in for all. Further the best part of this story as I have been putting together my investigation I have been finding several documents that I forward to American express that Interval International failed to tell us or give us the oppertunity to do. That is based upon there one of two big exchange timeshare companies they are consider a exchange timeshare company allowing you to exchange your week or weeks for another resort at a later time.
Although this is a perfect example of lyeing, misrepresentation,and fraud because we were told in exact words "there are no refunds or exchanges" without metioning about the oppertunity to do a exchange week to a different date or resort. So the bottom line is they need to be put to a stop by filing a law suite,reporting then to the better business bureau, States Attorney, D.A.,as well as do a story on the web site and tell them how crapy they are and to show consumers to avoid getting a timeshare from Interval International Company. They need to know consumers are not playing games with them.
