I immediately called isoldmyhouse.com that same day as well as sending an email and explained the stuation to Annalyn. She said she would speak with Owen, the president, who was the only one who could authorize a refund. I also called my credit card company to stop the charge from going through but their computers were down that day and could not process my request. I didn't realize I had 3 days to cancel this tranaction with my credit card so I didn't pursue this avenue any further thinking I could straighten it out with the company directly.
I waited a month for my next credit card statement and/or a return call from Annalynn. When I saw no reversal of the charge I called Annalynn. I got her voicemail and left a message to call me. After not receiving a call from anyone in the company I called Annalyn several times in November, December and Jannuary, each time leaving a message to call me back.
Today, February 14, 2013 I spoke with Jody Ryan who said he is the vice president of the company. It was an extremely frustrating conversation because instead of calmly listening to me Jody kept talking over me and kept saying he would not refund my money after 4 months and that I should have taken care of this sooner. I tried to explain that I tried getting this taken care of on the day the order was erroneously placed but he kept talking over me and saying after 4 months he would not refund my money. He said they had already spent money to list my house with MLS.
Jody also said I could not have called the company all those times because the company had been sold in that time period and Annalyn left the company 3 months ago. Eveidently Jody isn't aware that Annalyns number is still active with her voice on her voicemail. Jody also said I couldn't have called my credit card company or they would have cancelled the transaction.
Jody told me all he could do for me was to offer to list my house at another time period. When I explained to him that I had no plans to sell my house now or in the future and that his offer would not work for me he just kept saying after 4 months he would not refund my money. He also said that he was not going to argue with me all day about this.
When I asked him to give me the number of the president of the company or to transfer me to him Jody flatly refused saying that the president had nothing to do with it and that Jody was the highest person in the company that I would be allowed to talk to.
After being called a liar in so many words, not being listened to, and having this guy agrressively refuse to help me in a reasonable way and evidently having no recourse I hung up.
Isoldmyhouse.com obviously doesn't care about it's customers and I highly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

You screwed up. You weren't ripped off. Your own ineptitude cost you some cash. I'm sure it wasn't the first time and I'm certain it won't be the last. Here's the very FIRST paragraph from the company's user agreement...
"By placing a real estate advertisement on the ISoldMyHouse.com website, you agree that all sales are final. Once an advertising package has been purchased there will be no refunds on any real estate property advertising or portion thereof. Once an ad is placed with ISoldMyHouse.com, regardless of when, or if, you sell your property, or cancel your ad, you guarantee payment."
Do you have any idea how many steps your "nephew" had to go through to authorize this transaction with YOUR credit card information? Nobody can do it by mistake, I can tell you that.
You ordered something with a no-refund clause, I'm sorry... your "nephew" ordered it, lol... and then you even failed to properly dispute the transaction with the credit card company. And FYI, even if the credit card company's systems were down... they'd still take all your dispute information and follow up on it after the fact, so though you earn points for creativity, you aren't awarded any for actual facts.
Also, since you failed to mention it, I have to assume your house was actually listed all this time too? So they were doing their part, yeah? So you got four months of advertising and assuming your house isn't a hot mess and you're not asking thousands above its value (though, knowing you... amiright? lol) that means you were getting plenty of referrals from ISoldMyHouse, right? None of these people calling to buy your house made you think, "Hey, this is a matter that still needs to be addressed"?
Last, but not least, you finally state... "Isoldmyhouse.com obviously doesn't care about it's customers"... Now, to be fair, we don't know that for sure, do we? I mean, you're don't really think of yourself as their customer, do you? lol
My advice, you should just man-up, take some personal responsibility in this fiasco, write-off the money lost as a life-lesson learned, and move on. You'll feel better for it, trust me. Everyone makes mistakes and admitting to them, learning from them, and moving on, is what normal people do when they screw up. Sure, it sometimes stings your pride, but it also relieves all this pent up frustration. Good luck, pal. Say hi to your "nephew."
