J & J Telecom & Electric Timothy A Bruno qualifier operating under Florida State License # EC13006062 Fraud, Theft, Slander and Harassment Plantation Florida

Timothy Bruno, DBA J & J Telecom, Inc. has defrauded Prestige Home by not fulfilling the signed proposal and contracted work agreed upon for 2823 NE 26 Ct, Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He also collected $11,600.00 in advance for supplies and labor and has not delivered on either front. 

I have used one of his workers, Robert Hunt, on other jobs and had intended to use him on 2823 NE 26 CT as well, however, Timothy Bruno reported fraudulent use of his license to the Fort Lauderdale Building Department and holds were  put on my permits.  Mr. Bruno declined to press charges and reportedly only filed the complaint because Mr. Hunt had not paid him for using his license number.  Mr. Bruno then offered to complete the jobs and I met with him to discuss specifics, an agreement was met and a proposal signed by both parties.   Then after the problems exploded with Mr. Bruno…demanding payment, not showing up for scheduled work, not returning calls, saying his crew was on their way and not responding when no one came, claiming that checks were on hold even after proof of cashing was provided by my bank and trying to cause further complications at the building department by contacting the Electrical Chief.  In my follow up reporting of the situation to the Ft Laud Building department I have learned that J & J Telecom is “Red Flagged” with the city for NSF checks.  This afternoon a false and unfounded complaint was made by Mr. Bruno claiming I was working without a license and a State inspector came to my job site to investigate; of which I consider harassment.   Robert Hunt has been coming by the job site in my absence and accusing Prestige Homes falsely and badmouthing us to our employees; of which I consider slander.

Bottom line is I only received one solid day of work from Mr. Bruno and his crew; he has abandoned the job and defrauded on our proposal agreement. I have filed a police report and will iprovide a copy if requested.  My project has been delayed three weeks due to his incompetency and my construction deadline severely affected.  He has been extremely confrontational, disrespectful, verbally abusive and hostile.  He has been seen around the job site and has taken and/or retains material purchased and belonging to Prestige Homes.  

In researching J & J Telecom on the internet I have found that “Timothy Bruno Is a multi-time convicted felon, were crooks and ex-cons, used inexperienced and unlicensed crews, completely stiffed others on their jobs and admitted it, had to hire another contractor, was sued and never paid the settlement money.”    Merchantcircle.com

Other testimonials about J&J Telecom, Mr. Bruno and his crew; all tell the same story and establish a definite pattern of dishonesty and theft.  I find it difficult to believe that the State of Florida would issue and/or renew a Professional License for such an individual who lies, steals and harasses the legitimate tax paying public.   It is a disgrace to the profession and to the State. I have never experienced anyone as unprofessional and dishonest as Mr. Timothy Bruno in my 20+ years as a builder.  J & J Telecom, Inc. should not be allowed to conduct business or operate under license in the State of Florida.
