the BBB in Denver has approx 100 complaints indicating non work boxes, not responding to phone calls or emails and when the non working box is rerurned NO REFUND or return of property. It is resold. In addition the scam and ripoff sites report an additional 28 complaints and the Englewood police have 11 complaints.

DO YOU WANT TO BE THE NEXT SAP? 

When i received the cable box and plugged it into an electrical outlet there was no power to the box. I never had a chance to see if it would receive a cable signal. I called my cable company and they indicated i was throwing my money away. Do to the several upgrades to the cable system these boxes are sold as "JUNK' for $5-$10 each with all the necessary cable cards removed (and destroyed).

6 emails and four phone calls later with no response from anyone. my wife and I had a meeting with our banks legal people. telling our story and having them listen to a recording that was made during the purchase, FRAUD was proven.We not only received a return of our money for the box, shipping and handling as well. In addition without Jeff Davis authorizing the transaction the monies was taken from his account.

Banking laws will not allow the removal of monies fom an account unless it is authorized in writting or FRAUD is proven.

After the money was removed from JAM, Jeff Davis called me(that conversation was recorded) calling me every curse word ever used. He demanded $230. Why I asked. You voided the warrenty. I returned the box- did you receive it? YES. then we are whole. I want my f**kin money. I hung up on the thief.

In all of Jeff's answeres to a posted complaint he indicates that he will sue me for lying. that has been going on for a while. If this was true i would sue in a new york second not wait like he has.

The council of BBB, the umbrella organization for 113 local BBB across the US has a list of 41 locations with complaints RE: JAM ENTERPRISES owned by JEFF DAVIS of colorado springs, CO 719 593 1240.

The ranking for a business is A+ to F. In all cases JAM is F. There are 16 reasons for a ranking. I.E. 

NO: callbacks, return emails, refunds. In Denver alone there are 158 posted complaints.

The legal people for cable companies will bring action

The BBB, by charter can not take sides, vist a business or have a business visit them.The latest postings on the BBB indicating a ripoff by one of JEFF DAVIS companies are on 8/5. Two complaints were posted the same day.

The cable companies I spoke with and sent detailed information to indicated they will be taking direct action (They did not know that JAM enterprises exsisted). The information that was sent needs to be checked.  JEFF DAVIS yes JEFF DAVIS not any of his companies but JEFF DAVIS directly. 

Jeff there are many ways to win. With each cable company doing something separetly your legal cost could be "out of the ballpark". I was told Xfinity(Cox) is now in Englewood.

The Colorado BBB offered the weissblatts our digital converter challenge to prove our converters do work exactly as advertised. Our digital converters only receive the customers programming & services, they won't keep your food cold or wash your cloths only receive subscribed cable tv programming & services

The weissblatts refused this 3rd party BBB challenge because they know our digital converters work!!!
He told us on Aug 6, 2013 he's an attorney that was employed by cable companies to promote false and slanderous internet complaints to put us out of business. It is almost impossible to rebut these internet complaints.
Where the weissblatts made their mistake was filing their fraudulent complaint last month with the Colorado BBB.
We finally had the opportunity to challenge the weissblatts with BBB mediation and prove our product works but they refused.
We and the BBB asked them why they filed the BBB complaint and then refused mediation.
 
If your a new or existing customer we ask you to e mail them

and ask them why they refused BBB mediation to prove our digital converters "DO" work as advertised or don't work as they have said in over 100 complaints.
We've had several of our customers e mail the weissblatts and the only response they get is our converters don't work.

The weissblatts to date have not explained to anyone why they won't accept BBB mediation.
We know why, when proved they do work through legit 3rd party BBB mediation the weissblatts will face the consequences for all the slanderous & fraudulent complaints they have posted to damage our company.

letter #3 the real truth

cable box cost: cable company $5-$10/month. let's use $10 in this example and make believe the box will be able to work after the rental of all the necessary cards from the cable company. To inasall and activate a tech must come to your home, Jeff Davis, owner has indicated that his can be done over the net, yes if you picked up a cable box from your cable company and the serial # shows that it belongs to them

cost for 36 months: cable company $10 x 36= $360 plus installation cost $40 for a total of $400.00

cost for purchasing from JAM for 36 months. up front $250 necessary cards $12/month x 36 = $432

outlet fee, which will allow you to use their sysrem which is the same as if you rented a box.

outlet fee $10 x 36 = $360   and in home tech fee $40. total = $1082. YOUR TOTAL LOSS IS $682 for 36 months or $18.95/month.

Note: it is legal to own your own box. There is no law that requires any cable company to rent the cards that will allow the box to work and/or to allow you to use this box on their system.

the company phone is answered "this is JD" read 10 or 20 complaints (or more) posted at the BBB- same thing. yet all of these made up letters are addressed to JAY. His name is Jeff Davis

RE: Verizon, which has cable in New York  Jeff Davis letter from a verizon cable customer has an 805 area code which is CA. And to PROVE he is a THIEF and a LIAR go to the BBB in Denver and read the emails to and from the Attorney General's office RE: problems with verizon customers that JAM Enterprises refused to help. THE EMAILS SPEAK FOR THEMSELF

each letter reads like an ad with details that someone would never write except Jeff Davis owner of JAM doing business as digital cable today, finally free tv, digital tv express and just about saving money.

none of the coment letters have contact informatin. go to the BBB and see if this letter is posted. Jeff Davis, owner at 719 593 1240 never comments about the boxes that were returned (with tracking numbers) and NO REFUNDS. there are over 50 of these and four(4) of the following after the money was put into JAM'S account NOTHING was delivered.

Go to the BBB and read  the 16 reasons this company is an F (no return calls or emails, blaming the FCC or your cable company NO REFUNDS). You will also note the complaints are posted every month A file was opened on 12/01/09 by the BBB and  ask the Englewood police why they have so many complaints on file about the company.

If you are thinking about talking to this company call your cable company first. ask if they will support this company's JUNK? rent a box from your cable company that you know works for $5/mo and with charter cable the box is free if you have the gold package and if there is an upgrade to service the box is exchanged at no cost (this happened last Jan).

To show we not only sell working digital cable converters and provide excellent customer support
we have provided a few of the more difficult cable box activation testimonials below that without our persistence and customer patience we forced the customers service provider to provision & activate.
 
Even though it was a bit difficult provisioning these customers first unit, they all came back for more.
 
#1. This customer sent his testimonial to the Colorado BBB & a copy to us
I'm sending this e-mail since there is no place on your website to make a positive comment about a company…only a complaint.  I did business with the subject company under their name of justaboutsavingmoney.com, aka JAM Enterprises.  They are physically located in Englewood, CO.  I ordered two DVR's from them a few months apart.  Both of them arrived and worked exactly as they promised.  The PROBLEM was working with COMCAST!!  Jay Dee with justaboutsavingmoney worked with me to get everything set up, which was not an easy task, and not for the fainthearted.  I spent about eight hours on the phone and going to Comcast's offices.  Many of their employees said the DVRs wouldn’t work, but they actually DO WORK as required by the FCC.  When I set up my second DVR the process was easier, and more Comcast employees seemed to have been better trained.
 
I will admit that I was frustrated at times with my second DVR in that I didn't get phone calls returned as I would have liked.  However, I think they might be swamped with work.  I think they are being stonewalled to some degree by the cable service providers.
 
The bottom line is that my experience has been that their products work as advertised.  It just takes perseverance to get them set up.

Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know all's well with my boxes. Very happy with them, even, was able to get Comcast in manila to activate the on demand feature for both of them, even use the M card that came with the last one. Just wanted to ask if you have any specials coming up in the future to please let me know, they don't have to a DVR since they would be just for the guest rooms. Just looking for a good price. I received very good customer service with my cable box installation.  Jay was right there with me making multiple telephone calls and even staying on the line with Suddenlink and their friendly technician (Peggy).  After my picture was up and running Jay called me again to review all the features on the remote.  For my installation, a card was rented from Suddenlink at a cost of $2.89 per month.  Jay has agreed to reimburse me for the cost of this rental for one year.  I look forward to the telephone call from Jay when he can tell me that I will be able to use my own card, removing me from the rental obligation to the cable company.   For my purchase $175.00 including shipping, I now have all the features that a dvr has to offer and the convenience of Suddenlink's channel menu.  My cable bill is now @ $25.00 less per month so I will recoup my investment after about seven months with JAM's reimbursement check.  I want to thank JAM and everyone there for showing me how to save some money on my cable bill.     Dan (918) 577

Just wanted to thank Jay for all his help getting my Scientific Atlanta box going. It took some time and effort, but, it was worth it. I'll have to wait a little longer for it to pay for itself. I can live with that. The Cable company wasn't helpful in getting it to work and gave me a lot of lame explanations about how they couldn't activate the box and it had to be returned to the Mfg. for repair and "pairing up". Eventually Jay helped me. I got a cablecard from the provider installed it and called them to activate it. (After several calls to different "technical servers".) we finally got the card paired to the box and activated the box. Works great. A few days later my wife turned on our other box (rented from the cable provider and working fine for 5 years) and it displayed "this box is not authorized". Called their tech services, No help the first time, had to try a second time before I got a tech. that knew what she was doing. Had to re-authorize it. Everything is fine now.  comments = I purchased a Motorola Set Top Cable Boxes and had great help activating it from Jay, we had a problem with  the card and also the box, but Jay immediately shipped a new box to me. He went out of his helping me activating the new BOX as soon as I received it. As discussed, this is to confirm that the DCX 3400 is up and running.  Also, to reiterate, Time Warner Cable is charging $3.00 for an M card in a "non primary unit".  Further, they gave me an MTR700 tuner unit that is supposed to allow access to VOD material.  Lastly, please take a moment to confirm the Motorola SD 70-200 unit is on its way.

comments = Jay - I just wanted to let you know that I am up and running.  Thank you for all of your help.  Here is what happened.  After the box cycled through the activation, I still didn't have a picture.  So, I called back and they told me that the HD service needed to be set up on my specific "outlet" on my account.  Activation sent a signal to confirm that was my issue, (at that point, I got the video feed instantaneoulsy) but then I had to speak to someone in technical support who removed my old box and replaced it with the new card in the billing system and said that I was all set.  Thanks again, Sharon REMOTE_HOST: 98.250.79.104

JAY, I JUST WANTED TO SAY, THANKS FOR BEING SO PATIENT, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND NICE.  WHEN YOU TOLD ME YOU WOULD CALL ME BACK AT A CERTAIN TIME, BINGO, THERE WAS YOUR CALL. AND YOU WALKED ME THROUGH ALL OF THE STEPS, AND VERY EASY AND GOOD INSTRUCTIONS, ON HOW TO GET MY  HDBOX UP AND RUNNING.    I DON'T KNOW WHY THESE CABLE COMPANIES ARE SO HARD TO WORK WITH SOME TIMES?   ALL WE ARE TRYING TO DO IS TO CONNECT UP OUR OWN EQUIPMENT INSTEAD OF HAVING TO RENT  EQUIPMENT AT THEIR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES.  WE ARE NOT TRYING TO DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL.   I JUST FEEL GOOD HAVING MY OWN EQUIPMENT TO USE, AND THIS BOX WILL PAY ITSELF OFF SHORTLY. I just wanted to tell you how satisfied I am with your efforts.  I initially ordered a plain old converter box from you.  I went to my local TimeWarner store and picked up a Cablecard and then you walked me through installation and even helped me with a conference call to get the thing set up with TimeWarner.  After I found that TimeWarner would cooperate, I made the plunge and ordered a dvr from you.  Once again you were really helpful getting me up and running.  Initially I called the cablecard setup phone number for TimeWarner but was given misinformation by them saying they couldn't help me because I have an unsupported box.  I knew something was wrong with this response since my box was a DCX3400, the very same one they are renting to me!  In anycase, I decided to call the regular customer service number and they were super cooperative and went ahead and authorized my new box after I gave them a couple of numbers from the unit.  If anyone else wants to buy from you that is in TimeWarner's Southern California area, I will be happy to vouch for you.

over 140 people say the box they sell does not work

When the owner gets on the phone he indicates his name as JD and some times Jay. All complaints indicate that they spoke to JD or JAY. Never uses Jeff or Jeff Davis. He has email addresses and toll free numbers so he can not be tracked.Well, with deep pockets :the following was discovered:

Jeff Davis, 1970 La Bellezza Grv, Colorado Springs, CO 80919. Phone # 719 593 1240

In his rebuttal  he never addresses the reason FRAUD was proven and why the money was taken from his accout without authorization. All the bank lawyer had to do was listen to the recording made at time of purchase. He never addresses why the BBB has approx 100 posted complaints from people throughout the US. He never addresses why the BBB indicated that refunds were never sent to the people after the box was returned. 

The BBB rates companies on a scale A+ to F. This company is F. Just go to the BBB in Denver and read the reasons for the rating and read some of the 100 complaints. In any search engine(I like Google) "JAM Enterprises complaints" will link to 8-9 sites with more than 48 more compaints. Same story, non working box, no return calls or emails and NO REFUNDS. NOTE: the BBB open a file for this company on 12/01/09. On this site there are 5 or 6 complaints.

Jeff Davis knows that the BBB is neutral and what he said about the boxes will never take place. There have been emails from the Attorney General to BBB. Just go to the BBB site in Denver and read what is going on. 

Our cable company charges $4.99/month and if you subscribe to the gold package it is free.

The customer who posted this false complaint and many others under "anonymous" claim our FCC & Cable company approved converter don't work, WE SAY THEY DO
.
This customer feel they want to be advocates for unsuspecting or ill-advised customers that may purchase from us what they claim are non working outdated digital cable converters.
 
This customer in Empire, MI  finally filed complaint with the Colorado BBB 2 weeks ago.
We immediately responded to this (BBB) complaint and made the offer below with the respected mediation through the BBB.
 
Complaint Case #: 75199470 Consumer: Robert Weixxxxx
 
In short with BBB mediation if we could NOT prove our converter(s) work exactly as advertised we would disable our website and close our doors.
 
Guess what, our FCC & Cable company approved digital converters DO WORK exactly as advertised.
Once we proved our digital converters DO work this customer then refused to complete the BBB mediation offered and closed the complaint but continues to file false & fraudulent Internet complaints against our company.
 
Below is the response we sent to the Colorado BBB and after they reviewed and approval it they (BBB)sent it to the customer.
 
We gave this customer the opportunity to shut us down and they lost by our proof our product WORKS. They would no longer work with BBB mediation closing this complaint.
 
The letter below is the exact text we sent to the BBB and then forwarded to the customer.
They refused our digital converter challenge once we proved our cable equipment works exactly as advertised.
 
Take a minute and read our offer to this customer.
 
Now that you filled an official complaint with the Colorado BBB we will be asking for them to intermediate.
You say the FCC & cable company approved digital converter you purchased (Motorola DCH 6416 HD/DVR)does not work, we say it does.
 
In the weixxxx BBB complaint they are asking that they(BBB) look into these complaints that our digital converters don't work. We can provide hundreds of satisfied customer (we have sent many of our customer testimonials to the wexxxxx)who will say they do work. Because testimonials can be fabricated like many of the fraudulent complaints against our company we may have a solution to prove our digital converter(s) work, or don't work. Lets find out.
 
#1 We ask the Colorado BBB come to our location in Englewood, CO.
 
We will pull a Motorola DCH 6416 digital converter, hook it up prior to activation and prove it won't work "YET" just like the weisblaats and some other say.
 
#2 After proving the converter will not work "YET" we will then go on line to the Comcast website for activation www.comcast.com/activate  or call there toll free activation# 877-405-2298. Over the phone activation takes around 3 minutes.
 
Following the required "plug & play"steps for activation the digital converter will provision to our authorized cable TV account in less than 60 seconds and will start loading our subscribed programming and services.
 
We will show the Colorado BBB it works here exactly as advertised.
 
#3 We then will disconnect the digital converter, package it up & ship it to a member of the Empire MI Chamber of Commerce, Police dept, Fire dept or ??? .
 
Whoever is pre determined to receive this converter must have a legitimate cable TV account with Charter Communications & follow their activation process.
 
 
In the event our converter(s) do not work as advertised and receive no customer subscribed programming & services as advertised on our site or the FCC site http://www.fcc.gov/guides/cablecard-know-your-rights
or posted on the cable company website we will disable our website and close our doors and admit we don't sell the FCC & cable company approved digital converters and were running a scam for finantial gain.
 
In the event our converters do work exactly as advertised we will expect a written apology from the weixxxx and complete retraction of all the the posted internet complaints filed not to exclude sworn complaints to Huntington bank,BBB, Englewood Police FBI and AG.
 
You know your money was returned to your checking account over a year ago.
 
You filed this complaint with the Colorado BBB so let them help you as you have already asked or we'll just consider this another false & fraudulent complaint and move on.
 
To the weixxxx, we know your going to read this, please contact the Colorado BBB, accept our digital converter challenge stated above and if our FCC & cable company approved digital converter don't work we will disable our site & close our doors.
 
If they do work we are coming after you for filing all the slanderous complaints against us.
 
To anyone out there reading this please e mail JD at ftad123@yahoo.com to keep updated if the weisxxx took our digital converter challenge with the Colorado BBB or if they are full of hot air.
