We hired this guy off Craigslist to do some programming for our company. He claimed he was the best programmer in the world basically and also that he could build any program needed for less than anyone else in the world.

Turns out he wasn't the best in the world, noe was he the cheepist. Spent well over the amount we could have had the work done for at half the price.

As importantly, the guy (he's 63) is like a child; needs to be told how wonderful he is and what a great job he is doing on a very regular (almost daily) basis. Unfortunately, we were in it too deep financially too quickly and had to stick with him until we decided to pull the plug. Money totally wasted and basically have to start over.

Bottom line, I wouldn't hire this guy to sweep my sidewalk; he's useless.

#2 General Comment

James Bacal

AUTHOR: Brian J - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, May 05, 2016

I was shocked to read the comments about James Bacal being a scam artist and in my opinion the comments made by Bill are completely false and more likely vindictive for some reason that only he knows.

I have used James Bacal as an independent software programmer in my business since 2007. I have always found his work to be excellent, on-time and very reasonably priced compared to others. I know of other companies and individuals who have used his programming services with great satisfaction. I'm sorry that Bill had a bad experience but perhaps there is another side to that story - as always there are 2 sides to every story and the truth is always in the middle!

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the programming services of James Bacal to anyone and in fact we are about to embark on a new project with him.

Untrue accusations

AUTHOR: James Bacal - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, May 05, 2016

This report against me is completely bogus!. First I never charge for time spent unless I accomplish satisfactory work - in the eyes of the employer. I have many good references that will attest to that statement. Some employers have repeatedly hired me over 9 years. - Brian Crombleholme is one such reference. In 2016 I only did a few jobs, and both were completely successfully. I don't know anything about this guy Bill. I have no invoice for "Bill". Probably he is bogus like his claim and has some odd axe to grind. I did work on a megapay website, and for Terry Wolfe. Both thanked me for my expertise.
