Jay Ressor - GoTrans judgement filed & won against Jay Reesor in 2003, still trying to locate money Memphis Tennessee

My name is Karin Phillips. My husband Rod & I were leased to Jay Reesor/GoTrans Nov 2002. We had just purchased our truck and went to work with him. At that time he was located in Southaven, MS and working from his apartment with Meredith.


We contracted for him only 3 months when he suggested we try another company because he claimed he wasn't able to provide us with the miles we needed. (by his recommendation: All Coast, Memphis, TN. Incidentally his father Ron Reesor recruited there and the company hired us knowing they were going bankrupt. We lost $3000 from this company. They never paid for the 3 loads we hauled).

We had problems with our pay from Jay/GoTrans also: correct amount, timely manner, bogus deductions or bonus cash pay and then they deducted it, etc. When we left him he failed to pay our last 2 loads and our escrow totaling over $8000; not to mention losing over $2000 for MS base plate. We also never received any tax documentation for our year end filing from him, i.e -2290. There was no need to hold the escrow since someone from his organization picked up the trailer here in Memphis while we were talking to All Coast. Also all paperwork was sent in to him & I have all documentation from every load ever hauled through him, including copies of BOL's.

He refused to answer his phone and talk to us for 2 months. There was no reply via fax or through his father Ron Reesor. We finally went to OOIDA and talked to Karen Anderson. Her attempts also failed for 3 months in retrieving our money. Finally she directed us to a lawyer in Southaven, MS, where 3 other owners had hired to go after Jay. We became #4.

We filed separately from the other 3 owners and it was a blessing. His lawyer apparetly overlooked our claim and they never responded to the court. The judge awarded us our claim with added interest. Today (Oct 2005) we still don't have our money. He knows how to hide his money. Our laywer located several bank accounts (that were active and current at the time) & they have come up empty, with cost to us of course. We are still trying to obtain our money from him and we may have to refile against him for non-payment.

Since then he has grown considerably; and no wonder with all the money he has stolen over these last 3 years from the owners who contract for him.

He needs to be reported to the IRS, the Federal Trade Commission, BBB, the MS & TN Attorney General & the US Attorney General, and the FBI for his "business" practices. He is outright stealing from the owners and he needs to have his business shut down and all assets sold to those of us he has stolen from and put in jail!
