I purchased a used vehicle (with warranty for obvious reasons now) from this business a little over 30 days ago and the vehicle has had repair issues from the second week of ownership. Upon contacting the dealer numerous times to attempt to allow the service department of this company to remedy the repairs, I was informed that this could only be done by appointment (how inconvenient since unforseen auto repairs don't generally happen by appointment). Additionally, the service department just happens to be open only between the hours of 8am and 5pm CST and to add to the inconvenience they refuse to provide a loaner car option. Finally, having return the vehicle to this dealer, for the second time do to the initial repair not being performed, I'm informed that the problem with the air conditioning not working is actually: a busted radiator, damaged hoses, a defective compressor and a dented frame. All of this information was provided to me by a dim-witted service associate named Amanda who also informed me that parts they specifically ordered to make the necessary repairs were defective too. To date, I am still without the car and have received no further information on when repairs will be made. The issue of constant repair of cars this dealers sells appears to be a common complaint of numerous customers of JD Byrider.

The specific problem of selling cars with major defects involving the air conditioning (compressor, radiator leaks, defective hoses) is common to many customers of this company according to numerous published complaints. Ironically, this is the exact issue that I am having with the vehicle I just purchased. Upon returning my car to JD Byrider for service, I discovered that the entire repair area was inundated with the same model car I recently purchased, all awaiting repair.

If you are considering purchasing a used car and are burdened with challenged credit, no credit or just looking for a dependable used car dealer, JD Byrider is not recommended. Not to mention, they have the audacity to record you during the finalization of purchasing the vehicle (as though your some common criminal and not a consumer); I'm not even sure this is legal. This company is not accredited with any Houston Better Business Organization and it will save you an enormous headache to check all of the negative feedback on the business before making the mistake of purchasing from them, as I have.

I think recording during the F&I process should be mandatory. It would protect you the buyer as well.
