We purchased a 2004 Chevy Aveo in August 2012.  We also purchased the warranty for $995.00.  24 month or 24000 miles. Never missed a payment.

On July 29th our car broke down on a road trip. We had to tow it back, at our own expense, to the dealership to have the motor replaced under warranty. Mr. Washington advised us that in another situation they actually paid to assist a customer to get home...no such help was offered for us.

They chose to locate a motor through LKQ junkyards because they wanted to save money on the motor. It took over two weeks to get it delivered.  They said the motor was coming from Savannah, GA which is only a two hour drive at most.  No explanation given as to why this took so long. I even offered to get a truck and pick it up myself.  That was declined.

When they installed the new motor they said a sensor was giving false readings and we needed another motor.  The service manager said we could drive the car and it runs great now.  Within 20 minutes we were having problems and the engine blew again that night leaving us stranded.

This company does not offer tow service, loaner cars, or any other options to help out customers when their cars go bad.  They do nothing about the fact that they do not stand by their vehicles.  The Finance Department (CNAC) deferred to the Warranty Department and nothing was done.

The money I spent on rental cars and cab fare should have gone to put a deposit on another vehicle.  They just do not care about the position they place their customers in.

They Did Nothing???

You said the engine was replaced under warranty.  Unless the warranty actually says they will cover cost of a rental car, why would you expect it for free?  Sorry, this is not an ENTITLEMENT economy.
