BAD REVIEW!  Jeanelle Folkes, Jeanesque Photography

AVOID THIS COMPANY!

If I could give a zero I would. This company is running a complete scam. They promised to get a few photos to us 2 weeks after our wedding and nothing happened. Then they promised to edit 15 photos and we didn't get those either. They basically charged us $1000 for 4 hours of his time and then sent us 1000 unedited photos on a disc after months of us calling, texting etc. The only reason we ever received our photos is because my husband threatened to sue them. They promptly sent photos then! They are complete scam artists and you've been warned if you decide to use them.

Jeanelle Folkes, Jeanesque Photography Great Company. Complaints Filed Are Fake; Part of "Bad Reviews" Extortion Scam Targeting Photographers

AUTHOR: Jeanesque Photography - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 31, 2015

This complaint is a fake negative review filed by an individual or a team of individuals who are involved in an extortion scam that is targeting photographers around the world.  I have never had this person for a client, nor would I ever "scam" clients for my business.  I offer professional service, quality work, great communication, and excellent customer service.

Jeanesque Photography is a good and honest company.  I deliver on any promise made to a client, and if I am unable to do so, I work with the client to ensure that they are satisfied with what they are paying for.  For the record, I would never charge a customer and send them unedited wedding photos.

I received an original email (and several thereafter asking for money) from someone named "James Frank" stating the following:

"Dear Jeanelle,

One of my colleagues has an axe to grind with your company. He has outlined to me a serious threat to write an online smear campaign of negative reviews and complaints against you. The negative reviews and complaints are to be posted on popular websites that guarantee a very high position in Google search results and are impossible to remove by anyone but the author himself.

The email I received last night was as follows:

5 complaints x Yelp.com.
5 complaints x Ripoffreport.com.
5 complaints x YouTube.com.
5 complaints x Facebook.
5 complaints x (undecided).

I told my colleague to calm down and I’m contacting you privately in order to try to mediate. My offer is to try to get my colleague to not proceed in writing the negative reviews and complaints. If I can do this today, I will charge you $299USD for my time. If you prefer to have the negative reviews and complaints removed AFTER they have been published, my fee is the same but you will then have to contact Google yourself to have the negative reviews and complaints permanently removed from their search results, if possible.

Removal of the negative reviews and complaints is not possible from some of the aforementioned sites unless you independently pay the site a very high fee, which has nothing to do with me. Once published, the negative reviews and complaints are visible forever. Meanwhile, prospective clients will see the negative reviews and comments and this will hurt your reputation and your business.

I am NOT the author of the negative reviews and complaints. I am here to help. Please let me know by today Friday, March 13, before 9pm EST. I may not be able to help you afterwards. I have added your name and company name to my Google Alerts so I will be notified each time a negative review and complaint is published against you. Thank you."

I also received an email from a "Jim Hart" stating the following:

"I work in reputation management. I see you have several negative reviews on Google, RipoffReport, and YouTube. I can make all negative reviews disappear IMMEDIATELY for a one time fee of $300USD. Are you interested? Thank you."
