I purchased a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Jeff Schmitt Mazda in 2012. About 5 months later I started having problems with the transmission and check engin light going on  and off took car to dealer while still under waranty. The check engine light was not on when I took it, but did tell the mechanic I didnt have a problem paying the $90 dollar fee if he wanted to hook it up.

I 6 to 7 months later I  has the same problem plus something new this time my check engine light was on the said they found nothing about the transmission. but did fix a part. Car was still acting up with the same exact problem now my warranty is up and they tell me I need a transmission!!!

So...

AUTHOR: Tyg - ()

So after 13 months AND your warrenty has expired, you want THEM to be nice and fix it for you? How exactly does that work?? THEY did not DRIVE or USE the vehicle for the 13 months that YOU had it. After 13 months how can you expect them to do ANYTHING for you? YOU drove the car NOT them. NOW that you are out of warrenty you expect them to fix YOUR problem for free!!! SELF-ENTITLED MUCH?!?!

Your report is a FAIL!!!! They are under ZERO legal obligation to do anything for you AFTER your warrenty has expired. To expect them to do ANYTHING FOR FREE is just your need and desire to NOT pay what YOU are supposed to. Stop acting like a child and stand up like an adult. This is YOUR problem and NO ONE is going to PAY for YOUR problem. The sooner YOU accept reality and stop acting like some spoiled princess, the sooner you can get your car fixed and back on the road. YOU wouldnt do for someone what YOU are requesting they do for you.

YOU are demanding that they eat roughly two grand in FREE repairs for you. Unless it is LEGALLY thier fault that YOUR transmission failed AFTER 13 months of you driving it. Which it wouldnt be. YOU are the car owner it is YOUR responsibility to maintain and upkeep your car. That doesnt mean washing it once a week. That means tune ups. That means oil changes. That means maintenece. They fixed the problems they could verify and NOTHING more.

I swear is it me or are the posters IQ and cognitive abilities really suffering this month??

Really?

So, you bought a 12 year old car that started having trouble after you'd owned it for five months and you expect the dealer to do something about it? Was it purchased as-is, or did you buy an extended warranty?
