I have bought many pieces from JMX International I actually love them all. I did have problems with my dining room chairs. Four out of six of them cracked within the first year or so. I did report the defects within the first year from purchase for the first three chairs that broke. Subsequently the fourth chair broke. Several spindles came loose and/or cracked on each chair. These chairs cost $189 each and go with a dining room set. In other words they would be very hard to replace. These particular chairs were highly recommended to me by the salesperson Linse Miller. I have tried endlessly for the past several years to get the company to rectify the problem. I made phone calls, sent emails, pictures, etc. I got the runaround for over a year. Finally, I sought the help of an online service that deals in consumer protection. The company did respond to my complaint at this point but it took over nine months for them to finally tell me they would back up their products. Now we were well past the two year point from date of purchase. During this period I had to contact them countless times just to keep them on track. I sent pictures that were suppose to be presented to the woodworkers (which they lost several times???). I'm not sure if the woodworkers ever saw them. I was assured by woodworkers in this area that specialize in furniture repair that these were defective due to poor workmanship. I have tried to get them repaired but with no success. While I very much enjoy my other JMX furniture which include many living room and bedroom items in addition to my dining room furniture, these chairs have been quite the disappointment. I'm stuck with them wrapped in black electrical tape to keep the spindles together. That is just not right considering the price and the fact that I was a good customer who spent over 5,000 with the company. I bought this furniture as an investment that I expected to last for many years. So far I believe the other furniture is holding up to that promise but not these chairs.

I thought I had updated this report and I apologize for just updating now. Jim Miller, the president of JMX, responded to my ripoff report promptly. He wanted to rectify the problem and made every effort to do so quickly and efficiently. He had my chairs picked up and repaired. He even replaced one of them. Throughout the process he personally called and emailed to keep me posted on progress. I have to note that Gary, the man who delivers the furniture, is the best! The chairs look beautiful, are very sturdy, and I am so happy to have them "back". I also am very happy that my relationship with JMX is repaired. I love their furniture and honestly wouldn't want to shop anywhere else! Thank you Jim!

Unfortunately, we've researched this problem and are unaware of the situation. This customer may have had some contact with a former employee, but his or her repeated and "endless" attempts to contact us in an effort to resolve the problem do not ring a bell amongst our current staff. It sounds like a frustrating situation for a very good customer.
Without having more detail about the customer name or products that he or she ordered, it is difficult to make a determination about resolution.
However, based on what he or she has presented in this report, it seems that the chairs should be replaced. We stand behind the quality of our products and will resolve the situation in the event that this customer contacts our office at 866-272-6773 and asks to speak with Ryan.
