On 2/12/04 I won disloldi's eBay auction for Angel Season Three DVD box set. I paid using his perferred form of payment, Western Union. I sent 6 e-mails, contacted eBay, contacted the IFCC, contacted everyone who had participated in an auction with him, but got no where. He used a false address and phone number for someplace out in Kansas, so he's untraceable.

I am working with someone else to try and get this guy, so if anyone reading this has any information or would like to participate please post a message here. He was reported to the LAPD, the IFCC/FTC and the FBI.

You put us on the wrong train!

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 02, 2004

Please, please understand that you are mistaken. The address in question houses a business called Hollywood Mail and Message the owners name is Alex and it is a private mailbox and mail forwarding service. It is NOT our business address. We simply have a mailbox there, that is all, and they forward mail to us. Since his box number is #605 I would imagine there at least that many boxes there if not more. So there are at least 605 people who may have a box at that address. Of that many we know one is a thief, and he has nothing to do with us. Did not the LAPD even explain what that address is to you?

If you had more carefully checked your facts you would see that we maintain our business address in Oregon. You might also have contacted us via email or phone since it's everywhere on here and asked us about all this before posting an inaccurate complaint that besmirches us.

Does this explain the situation and do you see we are not connected to him? I hope you have the integrity to post an apology and clear our name in this matter since I doubt this site will remove your false posting about us as they should.

Thank you.

Facts Were Checked

AUTHOR: Jennifer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 02, 2004

We did check our facts and the way we found this Rip Off website was by doing an internet search on John Woody. We didn't start this train, we just jumped on. We contacted the LAPD when we found out he was taking eBay and it's members for over $10,000 a month. They tracked him down and as of right now he's still at large but they identified his address as your companies address. You can deny knowing him all you want but it doesn't change the fact that he's out there scamming people and he's using your address with a different box number every time. If you can find him (if he's at your address) then you turn him in and everyone will be happy.

This is completely untrue.

AUTHOR: Mark - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, July 02, 2004

As an employee of Famous Poets I can say without a shred of doubt that this "John Woody" person is totally unknown to us. How this person and FPS could be connected is beyond my ability to figure out. We do maintain a mailbox at that address but use the box number of 126. You listed a totally different box number in your complaint. We have no relation to "John Woody" nor do we even know him, until now I have never heard of him. Freecontest.com doesn't even have that address on it so where you got that connection is also a mystery.

In the future please check your facts before posting a complaint that damages the reputation of a company that isn't really connected to your complaint.

Dear Confused

AUTHOR: Jenna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, June 26, 2004

The person reporting to be disloldi is the SAME person (address) as the Poet's Society.

This person is running multiple scams using both Yahoo auctions, eBay, and several individual websites touting either an easy way to earn money or prizes provided for poetry, essay's and the like.

We've contacted the Los Angeles Police Department and they are investagating all his personal identities along with his "proposed" companies. I'm sorry you were confused.

Confused

AUTHOR: Sandy - (U.S.A.)

This appears to be a complaint about not receiving an item ordered from e-bay. What does that have to do with an accusation that Famous Poets is a rip-off?
