Like the other reviewer who gave only 1 star, I would choose 0 if it were possible! Actually, based on my horrible experience with Jones Ford, a negative 5 star rating would be very apropos. In late fall of '13, I took my car there to see if Jones could figure-out and fix the ultra rough idle. In addition, I asked them to give me a quote on the cost to fix a broken trunk latch, which I demonstrated would not work when I initially showed-up requesting service (I showed the service-rep that when I clicked-on the key-fobs' "Open Trunk" button, the trunk latch would make a loud clicking sound and still not open). They said they would "clean" my fuel injectors, which cost over $150. I asked them explicitly to find what was causing the rough idle and let me know what the cost would be to fix it (being in the car service business, I would think that would be a common service request; moreover, my car is a 2003 Ford, so they should have a lot of repair knowledge being a Ford Dealer). And my car only had 87,000 miles, which is not a lot in this day-and-time. They call me several hours later and said I needed to to have my coolant system flushed which would cost over $125.
However, they just did that 6 months ago on my last visit there! So the obvious question is: Did they not do that 6 months ago like they said they did (and charged me $125) or are they lying now?!?!?!? Regardless, it shows they are either incompetent or unethical beyond reproach or both. When I told them they just did that 6-months prior and why they needed to do it now, the sales lady was dead silent. She knew they had been nailed as being totally dishonest and unethical. She also told me it would cost $325 to fix my trunk latch, so I told her to not do it. When I picked my car up, the car ran as bad as it did when I took it in. Moreover, they charged me $125 to "diagnose" my trunk not working, despite the fact I demonstrated to her when I first showed-up that it wouldn't open when I hit my key-remote trunk-open button. $125 for nothing! There's an old expression: "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me". Well, the reality is that I was dumb enough to even go there this time given that several years ago, I took my car there because me car was momentarily cutting on-and-off while driving (car would violently jerk), resulting in a diagnostic indicator on the dash to light-up. Of course, they couldn't find the problem. A few months later, driving back from Columbia on I-26 I had a nightmare because the same thing happened (I had to drive 35 mph on the interstate with my flashers on). I got my brother on the phone and he nailed-it: your battery is dead and given that cars today are one big closed circuit, your car is momentarily losing power making it jerk like it is. And he was 100% right: all it was was the battery. And he is no mechanic and knew exactly what the problem was, yet the "mechanics" at Jones Ford weren't able to figure it out (they weren't even competent enough to read the OBD diagnostic codes that had registered the problem). Bottom Line: Run like the wind AWAY from Jones Ford. They are incompetent, unethical, dishonest, and will rob you blind. The sad part is that I wanted to buy another Ford (even from them), but Jones Ford has chased me away from owning a Ford forever.
