Okay. Guess I got lucky.
(FYI- Even though they are a UK company, I believe they have an office in California.)
I would be upset if I were you, too.

Just Cloud Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Lynn Messer - (USA)

Do not sign up with Justcloud.  They are a ripoff.   They promised me a year free and then sent me an email stating that all of my data would be deleted if I did not pay again.   I mistakenly paid them again and then realized that I had a year free.

When I called customer service, they said that I had used my 50 gig limit and said that I had to pay or lose all my information.

I told them I wanted a refund and they said they could only give me 30% of my refund because I had gone over the 50 gig limit.
When I signed up they promised a  year free service for a $1 and then they said that they would donate money to my favorite charity.  I chose to have them donate money to the SPCA.   Then they sent me emails telling me my account would be deleted losing all information.

They are scam artists and do not deserve to be online promising a year's free service and then email you telling they are deleting all of  your information before the year is up.

I cannot believe this business is committing deceptive trade practices in every state in the United States and I guess it is because they are in the UK and do not adhere to law in the US.  I am a lawyer and know the law and think that they should be prosecuted by the US Attorney General's office with criminal sanctions.

Not As Bad As You Would Think

AUTHOR: Donna Marie - (USA)

The record needs to be set straight.

JustCloud IS NOT AS BAD AS MANY REVIEWS HAVE MADE IT OUT TO BE.

In Jan. 2013, I purchased backup service & supercharge upgrade through PayPal.

After emails back & forth w/JustCloud (some replies taking longer than others, though all within reasonable amount of time), I realized that FOR MY SITUATION, their service wasnt what I was lead to believe it was.

Within hours after my purchase, I emailed company with SPECIFIC & LEGITIMATE DETAILS to back up my claim and asked to cancel my service.

While waiting for reply, I became terrified while reading online reviews claiming JustCloud was fraudulent, untrustworthy, was a scam, blah, blah, blah.

However, when I checked them out at www.bbb.org, I was astonished to learn that they are not only a Better Business Bureau Member but there was only a nominal amount of issues reported, all of which had been resolved. If company
was really as bad as some stated, there would have been numerous resolved & unresolved complaints on file.

In conclusion, I was offered additional incentive to keep subscription, however, I chose not to, and thus got refund of initial investments two days later.

When I uninstalled the program, my OS still works fine, and I found no viruses, etc.

My anxiety was for naught.

JUSTCLOUD UPDATE

AUTHOR: Lynn Messer - (USA)

They promise a free membership for a year and then they send you emails threatening you that all your data is going down the tubes unless you pay them more money.  I fell for it and paid them.  Then I realized that they promised free for a year.

So, I called them and told them I wanted them to honor the original deal and give me my money back that I paid for the upgrade.  The lady told me that since I had exceeded 50 gigs, that she could only give me 30 percent of my money back.   I was upset.

Later I found out that her boss refunded the whole amount.

After I realized that they were not uploading all files, ie my tax return which I really needed yesterday, I called support.  They upgraded me free and said I would get priority tech support to help me find my lost tax return and promised a call back within 2 hours.  They never called me back so I cancelled.

Please do not give them a credit card.  Go through pay pal if you must but they are a UK company and you have no legal recourse if they steal your money.

They are a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
