Just Pets Lone Tree, CO Sold a pet that was chronically ill, and died Lone Tree  Colorado

I'm writing a review on behalf of my mother whose Maltese/Shih tzu mix just passed away at 6 years old after 6 years of chronic illness and thousands of dollars spent trying to give him a decent quality of life. 

She bought the puppy for $800 from Just Pets, who guarantees their pets are not puppy mill puppies, and that they are from reputable breeders with healthy dogs. From the beginning, his knees would pop out and he would limp or be unable to walk. At about 4 years old they spent $2000 on knee replacements. This dog also had chronic digestive issues, along with rectal bleeding. The vets could not rule out rectal cancer at 5 years old. My mom was referred to a cardiac vet because the dog had a level 3 heart murmur detected at 2 years old that had probably been present since birth. 

He was a companion dog for my 50 year old mother now that her kids are grown and out of the house. He sat on her lap most of the day, and she took him on her walks morning and night. 

Yesterday, though he seemed ok despite these ongoing health problems, he collapsed mid-walk and died. at barely SIX YEARS OLD, after years of money spent and probable decline of quality of life on the dog's part. 

Just Pets' only response a couple of years ago was to take the dog back. Really? After my mom has bonded with this dog and made it her companion, your answer is to just take it back like it's a defective item bought at Walmart?

Just Pets should be ashamed of themselves. Who knows how many children, families, older people are buying puppies thinking they're getting a new member of the family to have the dog be ill or even die YEARS before life expectancy.
