Back in 2007 I purchased a MOVADVO TIME PIECE. Within a month is fell apart, in te shop for over a month. Got it back did the same thing in the same place and if fell on the tracks of NYC SUBWAY. I brought it back and simply request that they even swap it - NO NO that would to easy, back to the shop again fo the band and also the backing o the watch was falling off and this is a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR WATCH? Think I would have done better buying a REPLICA on the STREETS OF NEW YORK THEY SEEMS TO HOLD UP BETTER AND IF IT FALLS APART what your out maybe 25.00. Anyway after the trip to the shop for the watch it came back. This time it held together for a little while and then again the clasp fell apart, back to the store and they fixed it on site but I DID again ask for a new one or just a simple refund being it had been in the shop fo almost half the time i own it AND I WAS MAKING THE PAYMENTS. Mean while I purchase a few other things, MISTAKE and that is another story. So I was wearing the watch that the store had fixed, WELL I THOUGHT - Then I seemed to be late for meeting , LAte for lunch, Late for just about EVERYTHING for few days. I checking the time on the watch to the time on my cell it was off and WAY OFF. Seemed to have lost 60 minutes in three days ---- SO BACK TO THE STORE - This time I was not taking no for an ANSWER - Well the song and dance and frankly I was pissed - NOPE, no swap for the same product, no exhange for other merchandise, no return for credit o my account - ONE WOULD THINK A ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR WATCH WOULD HOLD UP AND MY GOD THEY WOULD JUMP THROUGH HOPE TO FIX IT FOR ME ESPECIALLY SINCE I PURCHASE THE WARRANTY FO IT AND THE INSURANCE WHAT A SCAM - They MISREPRESENTED JUST ABOUT THE WHOLE DEAL - NOT TO MENTION MY TIME IN fOUR TRIP IN NYC RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC AND THE GAS AND TOLLS AND PARKING!

I CALLED customer "LACK" of service, they informed me that well it was between the store and myself and they had nothing to do with it. I then asked them, what about the warranty and the insurance that I purchase on this item at GREAT EXPENSE - "WELL SIR, that is beotween you and the store all we do here is account update and collections, you would be best to return to the store and hammer out a deal with them - FAT CHANCE!! I WOULD RATHER PLAY RUSSIAN ROULETTE MACHINE GUN, GET HE PICTURE. I then WROTE to the main office THREE WEEKS PASTEXD NOTHING - but I made my payment and the watch is sitting in a drawer USELESS AAAAAA, Tell me if I got this right WATCHES - they KEEP TIME? WELL THIS ONE HAD ITS OWN TIME SCHEDULE. I called the sotre explained the whole matter - nope please bring it in and we will send it o to MOVADO FOR THE THIRD TIME and return it to you (the same watch that can not keep time and a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR ONE AT THAT). I refused and told them AGAIN I wanted either a NEW WATCH one of equal of compriable value or a return and CREDIT TO MY ACCOUNT IT WAS AS SIMPLLE AS THAT. NOPE!

Then go on the horn with Kay Customer "LACK" of Service, they told me the same song and dance go back to the store, OK I AM LOST AND NOT GETTING ANYWHERE. I informed them that I will REFUSE to the account - NOT like I was a credit issue in the past or late - I JUST WANTED MY WATCH THAT I PAID ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR TO WORK OR IT BE RETURNED OR SOMETHING - running in circle was not amussing.

I did not pay and each time they called form collection I explained. They stated that it was an issue with the store and not them and pay your bill. They even called me at WORK and THREATEN TO GARNISH MY WAGES - OH I RECORDED THE CALL AND THE COLLECTION SUPERVISOR WAS PISSED.

After a while I never heard from them it was like the storm passed but that was just the eye of the HURRICANE KAY - POP in my email box - JUDGEMENT AND SUIT FILED - on all three CB's and at that they listed the DEBT TWICE so instead of 2885 or what ever it was with all the FEE and that WONDRFUL INSURANCE I PURCHASE (USELESS) and they keep billing that as well as the account was going into defaul EVEN THOUGH I ASKED FOR THEM TO REMOVE IT - THEY SEEM NOT TO GET ANYTHING RIGHT - GO KAY GO!!! But then I kinda knew this was coming being the were reporting to the CB's tariness in the bill then just DISCHARGED the debt - well that WRECKED MY CREDIT.

So what have I got from KAY JEWLERS and STERLING JEWLERS AND MOVADO.
1.) WRECKED CREDIT
2.) A ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR WATCH THAT DOES NOT WORK FOR ANYTHING
3.) INSURANCE THAT DOES NOTHING HERE NOR THERE
4.) OUT about 200 in expense running back in forther to the store to fix the issue not to mention the time on te phone with collections.
5.) Maybe I should added a PINEAPPLE TO MY BACK SIDE SPIKY GREEN SIDE FIRST so they can shove it in.
6.) Ajudgement and suit on my credit report
7.) TOTAL FRUSTRATION!

NEEDLESS-TO-SAY, I would not recommending purchasing ANYTHING at KAY JEWLERS or STRELING JEWLER (THE DIVISION OF) they will sell you ICE CUBES IN THE NORTH POLE and then OFFER YOU A OVEN TO STORE IT IN.

WHAT EVER HAPPEN IT COMMON SENSE?

AT KAY JEWLERS THERE IS A TRUE LACK OF IT FROM THE STORE TO CUSOMTER SERVICE TO CORPORATE EXECUTIVE OFFICES - ALL THEY WANT IT MONEY FOR PRODUCTS THAT CAN NOT STAND THE DAILY USE OF WEAR NOR HAVE QUATITY BEWARE I SAY TAKE YOUR BUSINESS TO ZALES THEY SEEM TO WORK WITH ME AND TEY ARE FRIENDLY TOO - WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK OR POLITE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND A WINNING MANAGEMENT TEAM WITH COMMON SENSE AND INTEGRITY.

Mr. Mark Light I would today light to enlighten you as to the failure of your company to uphold its product and service and credit reporting obligations on my account. First I tried in vane to correct the matter on the merchandise that I purchase to NO RESOLVE and I was stuck with a faulty One Thousand Dollar watch and ruined credit. I have since settled the matter with your accounting department in full and yet your company is refuses to remove the CHARGE OFF to all three of my credit bureaus. This has been a long a disgusting process with Kay Jewelers and I am not a happy camper. I have told many of my family and friends never to use Kay, Jared, and or Sterling for ANY of there needs. I am also going to start a blog and you can go to www.ripoffreport.com I will be spreading the word there as well until the matter of my credit is RESTORED IN FULL. Your company is the WORST in customer service, product service, and overall business I have ever dealt with. I have a letter releasing me of the obligations and I refuse to pay for an item that was never rectified in full and to make it worse I even purchased your lackluster WARRANTY which apparently is about worthless as the paper it is printed on. I will in my campaign in the next several month, weeks, and or years find a way to put the GOOD WORD out as to just how Sterling, Kay, and/or Jared does business. I have written twice to you before and this time I am faxing it hopefully this will get your attention. I just want what is fair YOU GOT YOUR CASH I WANT MY CREDIT RESTORED AS PAID OR EVEN BETTER DELETED FROM MY BUREAUS! Respectfully, Christopher Allan N. P.S.
