Keith Nation Mdn Remodeling Basement Finish-Remodel Wentzville Missouri

Hired him to finish a basement.  Contracted timeline was 5-7 weeks.   He started the work, showing up daily (9:00 to 3:00)  but that stopped after 2 weeks.  No phone calls or explanations of his absences.  His work dragged off and on for 18 weeks.   At that time, we attempted to have a final walk through with our project.  We raised our concerns with several issues in quaility involving trim work, flooring, wall finishing and his payment plan.   

He verbally agreed to repair the items or pay for another contractor to fix the items.  We sent  him a quote, multiple emails and left him multiple voicemail messages.   He has chosen to have no contact with us or come forth to honor his agreement.  We have given him another 8 weeks to do the right thing. 

Along with quality concerns, Keith has you sign a contract to honor his payment plan.  He expects 40% down to start, then 10% a week.  The last 10% upon final inspection.  He received 90% of our money for the remodel after 7 weeks.  After seven weeks, his service got even worse.  We withheld our last 10% but it doesn't make up for the extra expenses we have incurred due to his poor work, quaility and work ethic.  We also purchased items he was supposed to honor in the contract.  He guaranteed that an adjustment would be done at the end of the project.  That never happened.  He met for the final inspection with no paperwork, documentation or receipts. 

We gave Keith the benefit to do the right thing.  He came across as a sincere businessman and completely fooled us!  I cannot explain the frustration in our experience.  Our remodel was a bad experience and we hope to prevent other people from being taken by this man.
