Let me preface this with I know my mortgage company is slow.  

This all started a year and a half ago. I called Ken as we over-extended ourselves and due to credit card debt, could not qualify to refinance. He told me of a "rewrite". Send him 2500 and he would work to get our mortgage to rewrite the loan.  Fast forward to Christmas week. I have to send another 2500 to buy down the rate cause they will only do it at 3%. It had to be right away because with the holidays the rate could go up. I borrowed from family and paid again. everytime I ask for a status- same answer"we're close!"  Fast forward another 6 months- now we need to buy down the rate again. I have borrowed from anyone I knew and have nothing else to give. I won't do it. Another month goes by- now they are willing to do it again. Should be this week. Another 3 weeks goes by...nothing. No word from Ken till I ask. 

i cancel. Just send back my 5,000.00.  I'll process it right away. Let's fast forward yet again...another month has passed. I ask for status again- you should get 2500 next week and the remaining shortly after that.  

This is my last stop before a courtroom. I'm tired of waiting for nothing. 

RUN...don't walk in the opposite direction!

 So I received a check yesterday for 30% of what he owes me and was told he paying out of his own pocket cause the powers that be still have not sent my money back. What powers that be? My mortgage company never got any money so where was it sent? When I told him he is a fraud he threatened defamation lawsuit. So now a victim! Someone should tell this guy statements that are true can't be defamation. Anyway the DA then small claims court is on today's agenda.

 So I did some more research and found out this scam artist has never even spoken to my mortgage company. They have no record of talking to him. They have never received any money's to buy down the rate on a rewrite. I called Ken and advised him of my findings and that I will be passing this information to the DA. Now Ken doesn't want my money despite what I "may believe". 2 days ago he sent me a picture of an air bill from Fed ex. Fed ex tracking has no record of it. Tomorrow is my day off and I apparently will be spending it at the court house and DA's office. Again, run from this guy.
