Dec.23, 13: I bought 4 new Michelin tires for my wife's car. Was a fair price I thought at the time. While waiting, they said we need brakes and new rotors & I said no thank you, my brother in law would fix them when it's time. I asked don't they turn the rotors and was told it would make the rotors "in spec" he couldn't even get his Con right.

A few minuets later I was asked if I wanted an alignment, again I said no thank you... I said that the day before I had driven it 800 miles to come back home from Gulf Shores Alabama and it handles perfectly. They did not even drive it to know if it did or did not need an alignment.

Rob, the young manager checked me out and I was pleased.....until I drove through heave traffic back to the Interstate! The steering wheel was cockeyed and it pulled to the left/center of the Interstate. When home I called Rob and told him the situation. He became defensive immediately and said he did not do anything to my wife's car. When I stoof firm this sudden change occured in his shop, he said "I see I can't make yopu happy" then hung up the phone.

Dec. 24, 2013: This event made me distrust his shop and I did not want my car in there again. After sleeping on it I decided he was not ripping us off! I took it back and told my story yet another time! He put it back in the shop and 90 minuets later he called me to the desk and showed a print out & said it was fixed now. I shook his hand and thanked him, thinking we had made headway toward beginning a long term Customer/Service Provider RElationship and felt good about going back and offering Towery Tires a chance to prove themselves. They proved who they are I'm afraid!

After closer look by a family member who worked at the Chryseer Dealership in Louisville, he pointed out that it still showed measurments that were not to Spec but in new places this time. Even though Rob the manager said it was fine now, his print out shows a defective alignment.

I drove a few miles. The car was still pulling and the steering wheel was still out of level/cockeyed. I picked up my mom and took her to the Cemetery because my dad had died 9 years earlier on Dec. 24th/X-Mas Eve. When I reached across her to open her door, the console rocked and rolled against the opposite seat. It had been loosened. It was flopping side to side and was now loose from the floor, I can now run my fingers under the rear and lift it off the carpet/floor board!

Inside the console all the contents had been moved around and were in turnoil inside the console. This is only my idea of what happened.....I have no actual hard proof other than knowing the car and having put CDs in it before they took it back into their Shop......After ;leaving their shop, in just a few miles, my brakes started making a grinding noise and they have never had issues what so ever.

95% of the miles on the car were put on driving on the Interstate. Before we married, My wife drove 800 miles every weekend when she would drive from Birmingham AL. to Lousville, Ky. to visit with me and spend weekend with her family. This went on for over a year and she put most of the miles on her car on the Interstate driving to visit with me & her family as I'v mentioned.

I just wanted to be clear that her brakes had very little wear on them and have been inspected a few times since she bought it new in 2008. Now, after being in their shop the first time, her brakes are grinding. She worked 7 years for a mechanic, she ran his office and he keeps a close watch on her car even still. WE are all great friends and visit often. I will get Dave to look them over and write a statement of what he finds. if they have created the situation, Dave will spot it and be behind us if we need legal recourse.

All I wanted when I stopped in their Dixie Hwy. Store was 4 new Micheline "Defender" tires, but we now have a front end that's out of line, cockeyed steering wheel, pulls left, torn up center console and brakes that gring that are getting louder & louder as I have driven under 25 miles today. I'm concerned and will have them checked Dec. 31 after we fly to & from Denver CO for our son's wedding on the 28th.

I think that because I dared call them out on their Con and brought the car back for them to make things right between us, they knew they would not be making any more money from us so they thought they would just teach us a lesson. I then looked at the wheel covers, both front covers were badly scratched in 4 places each...I'm saying deep & multiple scratches that were consistent with the gear used to align the wheels, not only that our console was now compromised. I don't know if bolts were removed or it was kicked and broken off its mount? I do know it was intentionally done for complaining and bringing the car back for justice.

I will call their cooperate after the X-Mas holiday and tell the owners about what's going on in their Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Ky store and their Store Manager Robert.

After looking on the Better Business Bureau, I see they have 34 complaints against them for similar actions against their customers. I'm left feeling the company knows what's going on in their stores. The owners have placed very high expectations on it's employees, the guys have to be creative to meet the Company's expectations of them.

After talking with others today in a local restraunt, I'm told of many, many, many stories of how their friends have been cheated by Ken Towery Tires. My advice is to find another tire and repair shop/supplier for your needs and avoid these Racketeers at all cost! All I went in for was 4 new tires nothing else, i came away with a front end that is out of alignment, cockeyed steering wheel and brakes that grind terribley.
