We were going to lease a home from them until our credit got cleaned a bit, we needed a one point raise to qualify for USDA financing. We gave them a deposit of $1200.00 and when I went to pay them first months rent we were told we couldn't close the deal. That day i requested our $1200.00 deposit back, we had paid in a money order form, and was told it would be mailed out. This was three weeks ago and I have yet to receive the check. Doug Burdsell, the sales rep is giving me the runaround, he finally gave me his supervisors number, Tom Wilson. I called Mr. Wilson who said he would get back to me that same day and I have yet to hear from him. My messages have all been ignored. I called the corp office in Katy and no one has called me from there, either. I gave notice on my present home, have to move out and I don't have the deposit to even look at another rental. I was not given a copy of any paperwork from them, they have $1200.00 that I desperately need to move with and they seem to think they're entitled to it. They aren't even a BBB member so no point in complaining there. Seems like my only recourse is small claims court. I am also filing a complaint with the Texas State atty general office. Seems a very disreputable, unethical company, please beware before do business, with them. Just don't!
