Khoi's Auto Repair and Towing Improper Repair and Poor Customer Service portland Oregon
My car was making a loud squealing noise when I started it, which was causing problems where I live and work. I brought it in to Khoi's Auto Repair so he could find the problem. I had previous work done here without any issues.
I specifically brought my car in to have the cause of the noise repaired. I was told by Khoi that the problem was the engine belt and that he would replace it. I also had a problem with coolant leaking which was fixed at the same time for a total of $350.
A few weeks later, my car started making the same noise again. I brought the car back twice and told Khoi that the car was making the same noise again when I start the car after it has been sitting for a while. The car did not make the noise when I brought it in those couple of times so he told me he could not determine where it was coming from.
So I left the car overnight so he could hear the noise. He told me the engine belt was making the noise and it would need to be replaced. He then told me that I would have to purchase the belt and he would charge me to replace it and fix a leak for a total of $400.
I already paid him to replace the engine belt that was causing my car to make the loud squealing noise. Not only did he not properly repair the problem that I brought my car in for, he tried to charge me again for a mistake that he made. This is extremely poor customer service and I do not understand this business ethic.
I will never do business here again and I strongly advise no one else to. I believe that he is intentionally trying to rip people off.
