I was sitting outside playing with my daughter when a lady pulled up in a pick up truck, came up to us saying who she worked for and that they were doing a drawing for a "free" carpet cleaning or a $65 gas gift card for those who participate in a small survey. I participated in the survey bacuase I figured 1. I wouldnt win anything and 2. what was the harm?  A couple of days later I recieve a call from a lady saying that they have not done the drawing for the gas card (go figure) but I was the winner of the carpet cleaning.  At that point I thought they were going to hire a company to come out and clean it or another division of some sort from there compnay would come clean the carpet.  I asked the lady a number of times if this was there way of trying to sell anything to me etc.  She reassured me a number of times that it was JUST a carpet cleaning but finally she revealed that they would be demonstrating how the unit worked but there was NO hard sales involved.  Still did not know I was going to try and be sold a VACUUM!!!  I was told that they only had 3 open available times 11, 3 or 6 p.m.  I stupidly agreed still and set the appointment, afterall I was told it was a FREE CARPET CLEANING. 







My appointment day came, the time was set for 3:00 surprisingly it was by the same lady that came and did the survey which really took me off gaurd and she was 30 min late for the appointment.  She came and unloaded everything in the house with another guy who helped her bring everything in.  She told me she was new to the company and again reassured me that she was not trying to hard sell me anything and just wanted to show the unit.   As she was setting everything up she started a conversation up and mentioned that there was a trip up to Hawaii and asking a lot of questions about our household I guess to feel out income or something.  But previously being in sales at that point I knew what she was doing.  She said that she was previously a paralegal and wanted to start doing something else because she wanted a different career.  I thought that was weird afterall who in there right mind would leave a good job like that?  I understand getting tired of something but really a solicitor?   She starts showing me everything that the vaccum did.  I let her continue because honestly I was pretty impressed with what the vacuum did.  3 hours later my carpet was still not cleaned and as impressed by the vacuum as I was I was getting a bit tired of her going room to room showing all the different attachments, by that time I got the point of what the vacuum did.  My husband finally stops her and asked how much longer she was going to be, she says "i am just going to vaccum up the floor real good and then I will start cleaning the carpet."  An hour and a half later she finally started doing the carpet cleaning after we told her we had to go becuase we had dinner plans.  







 Before she started cleaning the carpet we asked the price, she would not give an exact price to us but said we could discuss it.  My husband called her out on everything she was saying because as she was talking he was looking the company and what others had to say about them and the vacuum.  He told her he could get the same vacuum online much cheaper so why should he buy that one.  She was taken off guard by it and he asked her to clean the carpets because we had to go.  Long story short either the carpet cleaning portion of the vacuum really sucked or she did a poor job because it did not get up any dirt at all.  You can still see the everyday use of the carpet and it was soaked the rest of the day/night.  Also what was weird is that she asked to use my phone when she got there so she could "check in" then again asked to use it when she left to "check out"   





These people lied to me saying that I won a free carpet cleaning to get into my house to try and sell me something.  I understand making a living but to lie to people to get into there house is dispicable and discusting.  She made herself at home also taking off her shoesand sitting on the arm of my couch.  Who does that?!?  Dont trust what the say, they will lie to get into your house and your personal area to try and sell a vacuum.
