Kitson Boards, LLC False Warranty Paddleboard Review Olympia Washington

This report is regarding Kitson Boards and Mike Kitson. After purchasing a paddle board and receiving a damaged item, Mike Kitson was notified of a construction defect in the paddle board he sold. The defect caused water to enter into the board, which led to the entire board delaminating. The board was sold with a 2-year warranty.

Contact to Mike Kitson resulted in no response. After contacting other members of the company, a response was finally received. The original response included the claim that the company would find a way to have the paddle board shipped back to them. Three weeks passed without any further response. After additional contact, Mike Kitson refused to acknowledge the defect in their product and accused the customer of abusing the product, so he could deny the warranty claim. 

Kitson Boards does not stand behind their warranty. Their surfboards & paddleboards typically retail for over $1,000 dollars, and the claims made on their website regarding the quality, construction and durability are completely false. Their customer service is virtually non-existent. Avoid, at all cost, all products constructed by Kitson Boards. The quality of their paddleboards and surfboards is primitive and their customer service is appalling. If you have a problem, they will tell you it's your fault and refuse to stand behind their warranty claims.
