I have engage Kolb electric to perform the service entrance work on our house located on (((REDACTED))) on 4/7/2014. Chris Remaley gave me a quote of 1018. I agreed they did the job and I paid them. While the city inspector was there he found some code violation and ask Kolb electric to pull the appropriate permit and pull all the switches, outlets and light out so he can come back and check again. Chris gave a quote of $775 verbally which I agreed to. They did the job on 4/14. and I paid them for that work. When the city inspector came to check, he found some more violations. Chris called me on 4/15 and gave me a quote of $2000. I told him I do not have that Kind of money and to hold off for couple of days until I try to find the money. On 4/15 I sent him an email at 2:40 pm asking him to give me a written quote of what needs to be done and an invoice for the $775 that I have already paid. On 4/15 at 2:56pm, he sends me this response
"Hi as I told you this morning I cannot give you a price because some of the issues are in the walls, at the end of the day I should have a better idea and will talk to James in the morning and see if we can figure out a price. I will call you in the morning.

I sent an email to Carmen Smith also the same day asking for the invoice. Chris did not call me next day and I waited all day for the written quote and the invoice. On 4/17, I send another email to Carmen Smith at 9:07 asking for the same. At 10:00am I decided to drive down to the house. This house has an electronic Lockbox. When I reached there, I was surprise to see James working there. I ask him why he is there and he said Chris has told him to go and work here and that he has been working since yesterday (4/16). I immediately called Chris and told him that I have not authorized this work and how is it that they are here. I also referred him to the email he has send me that he will call me next day. I also reminded him the conversation that I had with him that I do not have that kind of money and asked him to hold off for couple of days. To that, he asked James to stop work and leave.
At this time, I asked James how he got into my house, as I have not given him a code or a key. He admitted that he used his credit card to pry the door open both days. I was so shocked and speechless that a professional company like this can break in someone house with a Credit card. My house did not feel safe anymore to me. Before I left I made sure that doors are nailed down from inside and told my neighbor that if they see Kolb electric van to call me and call police. I also posted "No trespass" sign on the windows.
Later on the day around 4:23pm Chris call me and left me a voicemail demanding money for that work that James did for the last two days and threatened me that he will have the city inspector turn off my power if the payment is not arranged.
