So the next day i called and told them my husband was going to drop it off and he told me he had no one that could look at it So I asked how come you asked me to leave it over night if you would of had no one to look at it til monday. He informed me that he would of had someone but he had to do drill in the military. So i asked you only have one person that could look at it and he said no he couldn't find a sitter. I said ok so which one is it drill or no sitter. He said dont twist my words I replayed i am not I simpily repeated what you said.
As the week went on my dad talked to them and explained that it did not have this problem before the car was flushed and they needed to fix it. He said that they looked at it and could not find the problem and that it was not there problem to fix. i then sated that i was filling a complait and that i wanted my money back and he said no it would not happen. The next call I got was from the owner who reasured me that he would in fact fix it and to bring it in and i could have it back by the end of the day monday. well we got snow monday so i called and set it up for tuesday and dropped the car off in the morning.
Tuesday they had my car for 4 hours and I called to see if they had found out what the problem was and they said no not yet so my dad called and they told him that it was a freeze plug that had gone bad and my dad said that can happen if you flush it to much. and he asked when it would be ready. And they had deciced that they would not fix it cause it would cost to much money. but if i paid them another 334 dollars on top of the 200 i already paid them they would fix it. and at that point i said not no going to happen.
So my dad talked to the owner and told him that we need to fix this and the owner agreeed that the flush was done wrong and he would give me the 80 dollars back for it.
The next day I went in and found out that he wanted me to sign a waiver that said they were not liable and that I refused service and that that i would keep my mouth shut and i sadi i will have the lawyer look at this . as i went back my mom said nope she will not sign this this lets you off and that is not right.
So i got my car back from as different person yeasterday and guess what there was a whole in the raidiator i put 220 dollar in to it to get it fixed and running right. so last nightI called the owner and told him that it had nothing to do with the freeze plug and that e should know that i was fileing a complaint and i was not only out the 200 form them but I was out another 220 to fix what they did and if i would of let them fix my car i would of been out another 334 dollars and still had a broken car. he told me he was done talking about it that I could file with whom ever i wanted and get a lawyer and not to call him again. so i hung up !. Heres some facts you should know my dad has been a mechanic for more then 20 yrs. The kwik kar people could not answer the simplest of questions and had my car for about 10 hrs and in that time flushed it so they said but it still had rust in the radiator. misdiagnosied it and offerend to fix it for 334 dollars and it wasnt the problem. and now I thank about it and i thank they knew that it was that radiator they messed up cause a freeze plug is not that expensive!!!
