LA FITNESS - Pro Results SCAM, SIGNED ME UP WITH OKAY TO CANCEL/TRANSFER THEN TOOK MY MONEY AND NEVER RETURNED PHONE CALLS Temecula, California

Tom Grindle, Cutter Chanley, Mike Uliberry & Alex at the Temecula LA Fitness are scammers and do not return phone calls or do business honestly.  I, my office manager,  and wife have left 63 messages for the above named individuals for over 9 months with no return phone calls.  Here is how I got ripped off and scammed

There was heavy promotion 10 months ago at LA Fitness to sign up with their fitness trainers.  I have been a member for 5 years, they offered 25 free sessions and an additional 4 that Tom Grindle threw in,  and be charged a monthly rate of $117.00 in which I could transfer, downsize, or cancel the membership at any time.  I was charged $156.00 per month and have been trying to cancel my membership since the 2nd month.  I made it very clear to Tom that I would only sign up if I was assured I could cancel at any time, he promised and told me to come see him if I had any problems.

Tom Grindle, Training General Manager LA Fitness Pro Results, signed me up he let me know that since so many people were using their free sessions and cancelling their membership afterwards, the corporate office was setting it up so that only 4 free trainng sessions could be used each month, but that was not a problem because he could bypass it on the computer, in which he did.

I used five sessions with personal trainer Lina, and then my company moved to Los Angleles, I also had a back injury in which I had very limited workout capabilites.  I had my wife call to cancel the membership, the membership was not cancelled, only frozen for three months, when she called again to cancel it the corporate office said I could not do that, that I was locked into a 1 year contract.  This was not true, not what was expalined to me and unacceptable, so I called Tom Grindle, got his voice mail with his name and message on the recording and the next day I recieved a return phone call from a Tom, who said Tom Grindle was no longer an employee with LA Fitness, but his name was Tom and he could help.  Tom was very helpful and said Alex was the one that would be able to help me and he would have him call me the next day.  I never recieved that call and left Alex 28 messages myself between May 2009- October 2009 with not one return phone call.  During that time I also found out that Cutter Chaney was Alex's boss and left Cutter 9 messages, whne he did not return phone calls I was given Mike Uliberry and left him 4 messages.  My wife and office manager also called several times a week.

Since this dishonest business started with Tom Grindle who is no longer an employee of LA Fitness PRO Results, and Alex, Cutter Chanley, and Mike Uliberry have not only not recified the situation but have not returned phone calls I have contacted my bank who is doing a fraud investigation as well as my attorney who is looking into seeking recourse and the possibility of a class action lawsuit.
