Lambert and Lambert are in my opinion frauds.  They use there whole lawyer Jargon to help persuade you into believing they can better help you fulfill your aspirations and goals of getting your invention or idea off the ground.  What I mean by lawyer Jargon is that in inventing something there are a lot of fine lines and rules, or laws in getting a patent approved and the process therein.

Lambert uses the fact that they are attorneys of the interest and that they've helped others get there ideas off the ground, they decided to help others for a small fee of 199.00 per submission.  They further go to say that if they choose your idea and feel its profitable and manageable one they will reimburse you and you will have no other fees in the process of beginning to end as they will get paid once the project actually becomes readily available to the public markets.

My wife submitted her idea, and although they rated it well and high in all areas, they concluded that her idea just wasn't in there opinion an easy one to get licensing for.  we then resubmitted the same idea making additional changes that definitely set it apart from its counterparts, still they gave us this run around jargon of how they don't really know if it would work.  But hey keep trying and oh by the way here are some referral companies that might like your idea and want to help.  As if they said that in the beginning.  NOT HARDLY.  In the beginning it was more like, "if we can't help no one can" type of deal.  Funny how now after we evaluated and have taken your money, oh maybe there are other companies that can help you.

Anyway, I was definitely a little skeptical that they were being honest.  But what happens next is definitely what puts the nail in the coffin.

I've too also had this great idea/invention for cell phones.  I've had it for about a year and a half.  I actually had my idea before my wife had hers. We used her idea submission first to kind of feel out the company, for in our minds and all of the people who were informed of my invention knew that this idea was maybe still is a very profitable and "game changing" idea.

Its for cell phones.  That right there says it has a huge potential for marketing and sales.  Anyway they pretty much did the exact same review, on my idea as my wifes.

They said that, awesome idea, maybe someone else can help, we at our company feel that it just I don't know?  Again just mumbo jargon with NO real good reason why they wouldn't want my idea.
About a week after that I saw and invention on TV nearly identical to mine.  Does the exact same thing.  So you tell me, my idea isn't great?  Or that I might have trouble getting a patent?

Either way, no answer had any hard evidence that my idea isn't a good one.  In my review summary they gave examples of others inventions that had previous patents, none of which even remotely is close to my invention!  I called them and wrote them an email about this, which when I finally got a hold of them myself, he sounded dumbfounded on the phone and just had a bunch of mumbo mush for answers.  Seriously he sounded like he had no idea what I was talking about and almost seemed uneducated.  Especially  for having a background in law.
Just a waste of time people!!! Don't use this company.    SCAM

Remarkable

AUTHOR: Roger That - ()

POSTED: Thursday, July 11, 2013

I find it remarkable that so many inventors have such weak skills in English, even giving leeway for those for whom it may well be a second language.  There must be a mathematical correlation between an inability to accurately represent oneself in text, and a similar inability to comprehend that no matter how wrapped up YOU are in your invention, the fact may well be that the world will not see it the same way.

Example:  Just reading the above report (mildly offensive to L&L, who otherwise have a surprisingly sterling reputation in the general internet community), I could say that I too have a "wonderful invention" for cellphones...  how about a unique style of a pad of sticky notes that could be affixed to the back of the phone, and notes written on it, and peeled off for reminders, etc. for the user.

Arguing that "it is for cellphones (of which there are millions), the sales potential must be in the millions of dollars", one might say that from that basis, the idea is a total winner.   Realistically, though, I'm sure every reader would agree that the above stated "invention" is probably one of the most laughably stupid things they have heard of in a long time.

Quantity in no way implies quality.

The above author should widen their scope of investigation and discover that L&L actually have a surprisingly solid reputation, and from my own research into their business, hundreds and hundreds of recommendations from all over the world.

Yes, it hurts when your idea is rejected, but try to be objective, understand that by turning it down early (with an explanation, no doubt), they have probably saved you from getting shafted by firms that ask for thousands of dollars up front, make promises, then get evasive, and then turn you loose....  much poorer financially for the experience.

I should know; I nearly fell for one such firm, but got turned off by their high-pressure tactics, investigated, and found out they WERE major scam artists.  In the course of that research, I came across L&L repeatedly, and virtually everything about them came up positive.

To the above author, I suggest you get some friends to honestly and critically evaluate your idea, then redesign or remodel it, keep tweaking it until it gets to be something twice as good as your first design.  This is how things improve, and by then, you may strike on a design that truly IS unique.  And give the process another go.
Even Edison failed dozens of times at various inventions until he got them right.  There's no shame in failing, only in quitting too early.

Good luck.

PS:  And please, please, puh-LEEEZE learn the differences between "there", "their" and "they're", and where each is properly used.
