I URGE anyone, thinking of doing business with this company, to look elsewhere for a product supplier. The owner of this company Dean Lattimer, is set up as a supplier/wholesaler of NASCAR products for retail businesses, and also states that he provides drop ship services, which is what MOST small online retailers look for, so they do not have to make a HUGE investment in product, and stock inventory. He states on his website, that when you either phone or e-mail with questions, that you will receive a response within 24 hours. this is NOT the case!
He NEVER responds to phone messages, and ignores MOST of my e-mails. And when I do finally get a response back, he evades the important questions, such as WHEN will the products I've ordered be shipped out to my customers. It has been over ONE week, and most of my e-mails are ignored. I had mentioned in my last e-mail that if he does not provide delivery information for me, which is his responsibility as my supplier, that I want a full and complete refund of the item costs, along with the shipping charges.
It does not seem as if he ever plans to fulfill these orders. When I finally did get a response. he stated he cannot provide shipping information until he receives the product. But he will not tell me how long it will take for him to receive them, even an approx. time frame, which is all I've asked for. He is obviously hiding something. Whether he has issues getting the product from the NASCAR mfr. or needs to meet a certain quota, prior to placing an order. that is simply NOT my problem.
He just needs to be honest enough to offer a time frame to me, as to when I can expect him to get the products in, and when he plans to ship them out to my customers. This may just be a scam, for him to make money, and he never plans to fulfill these orders. I have two customers, that are excited and anxious to get the products they've ordered and I feel terrible, that because of this company, I will have to disappoint them, by having to refund their money, in essence not being able to provide them with the products they had purchased.
I have a great reputation in service, and truly enjoy working with my customers and are focused on making sure they are happy, and have a great experience shopping in my store. This company, I've so unfortunately gotten involved with "Lattimer Marketing and Distribution", has been ONLY a nightmare, from day ONE!
All I can say is, he does not realize who he gets involved with, and probably feels most people do not follow thru after a while, and will just chalk up their experience as a loss. Well that is not the case in this situation. it is more about principle, and professionalism. It is not about the money. so I will take whatever legal action necessary to rectify this problem! This companys' service is UNEXCEPTABLE! And it has a history of BAD reports thru Ripoffreport.com as well as with the Better Business Bureau.
It seems that whatever name he does business under, and whatever type of business he sets up, he always get reported for the same issues! I am enraged that people think they can get away with scams like this. well, hopefully they realize that more and more people are educated about these types of scams now, and if they do get caught up in something like this (and sometimes no matter how much research you do, prior, it can still happen), MORE and MORE people are taking a stand, and FIGHTING back against crooks that do nothing more than STEAL money from INNOCENT hard working people. We will work hard to screw up their reputation, and HOPEFULLY end up putting them out of business.
Unfortunately leopards don't change their stripes. so they'll just change the name of their business and do the same thing all over again. But let them BEWARE. that no matter how many times they come back, there will be people like myself, who will CONTINUE to fight back for the cause, in hopes to help prevent others from going thru the same stress and anxiety.
