I hired Mr Mierswa as my attorney in 2014. He was doing such a poor job on our case I terminated his services in January of 2016.
Mr Mierswa refuses to give my file to me. The case was set up on a contingent basis but he actually sent me an email demanding ($489.02) money for the file.
I referred Mr Mierswa to the IL Rules of Professional Conduct, where it says he cannot hold my file.
Mr Mierswa still has my file and won't give it back.
Since then Mr Mierswa has acted extremely unprofessional. Mr Mierswa was so hostile at our last meeting I was afraid for my safety. I had to leave immediately.
It was no surprise when I found another ripoff report about David Mierswa on this very site.

Attorney David Mierswa is correct that the ARDC matter was dismissed. I consider that matter closed with no malice.

None of these allegations are true. I am sorry you feel mistreated. The Attorney Registration and Disciplinary (ARDC) complaint was dismissed.

I had to fill out a complaint about Mr Mierswa because he was trying to get money out of us when his agreement clearly stated he wouldn't take anything if he didn't collect. He didn't collect anything for us, but he sent us an email clearly demanding money in exchange for the file.
The ARDC made Mr Mierswa give us the file back. He dropped it off to them and they personally mailed it to us.
Attorney David Mierswa has filed a $50,000 lawsuit against me for writing online reviews. I am now preparing a counter lawsuit against Mr Mierswa for Attorney Deception!!
Mr Mierswa told us he was an experienced personal injury attorney. I searched public records and can not find personal injury lawsuits filed by Mr Mierswa.
