We were not familiar with Lazydays, but heard for other people in the RV park that they're the people to go to. At first blush yes, they have a great inventory and the sales end of the transaction is flawless. But, as a consumer, the sales end is the least important end, the customer care and follow-through after purchase are the most important.
We purchased a 2010 40' 5th wheel, not an inexpensive purchase. When the unit was being delivered we were informed, for the first time, that the steps were broken and that we had to sign-off on the delivery slip acknowledging that Lazydays informed us of it. Well, they didn't and this was the first we heard of it. All it took for repair was a spot weld -- why was it not done before the unit was delivered?
I contacted Lazydays the day after we took delivery letting them know that the ice maker does not work and we can't find the power switch for the kitchen ceiling exhaust fan. I've been told numerous times by my salesman that a person from the delivery end will be calling me. It's been 2 months -- I could have walked the 85 miles to Tampa and back and still have had time.
The thing that broke all confidence in Lazydays is the titling of my unit. When I bought it I told them that I wanted an Ohio, not a Florida title. I was told that it would not be a problem. Well, it is a problem. They sent me most of the paperwork that I have to forward to Ohio instead of filing it themselves (or having someone else file i for them). The part not included is a VIN form required by Ohio verifying the VIN on the unit. It can be signed by either law enforcement or a licensed dealer. When I asked for the form Lazydays supplied a blank form. I then contacted them and requested that they fill it out and send ti back to me. I was told that they're not allowed to and it MUST be done by law enforcement. WRONG -- on the bottom of the form it can be signed by either law enforcement or a licensed dealer. Lazydays is a licensed dealer in Florida, so they can sign it.
This has been the worst experience that we've had in buying a trailer -- this is our fourth trailer and it will be the last purchased from Laxydays.
