This school represented itself as the best culinary school with a long history of excellence and ties to the masters in France. They talk young people into paying incredible fees with the guarantee of a lucrative career. This is completely false. I daresay if the French culinary school realized the misleading and illegal practices Of the Orlando school, they would be appalled and shut it down In shame. 

My son fell for the hype and signed up expecting federal grant money, tuition assistance and loans for the full term As well as  living expenses. What he recieved was a massive bill for one class and 3 days of a second class. He dropped out because he didn't receive the living expenses promised and picked up a job. The waiter working with him, doing the same job making the same money was a recent graduate of this school. My son decided to not return and thought the grant money should have covered the one class. He received a bill from sallie Mae for $20,000 which we immediately disputed. This was a travesty!! 

We refused to pay this bill and disputed it with the school and the lender. Both told us we were out of luck and owed this money. Sallie Mae continues to add interest to this loan and fees even though I reported these illegal practices. My son's credit is destroyed and works for less than minimum wage, has to share rent with two other people in order to eat. 

How is this going on in this country? Thinking we were going with the best in the business and just getting totally ripped off!! On top of that he can't get any loans to go to a reputable school now because of this experience!
