Legacy inmate communications  is a  fraud!  they  charge you  $14.99 for  connection and $1.99 a minute, but  they always  overcharged me, i  used 7:41 sec the  charged  me $35,  when i  call them  to discuss it   a  sales  rep  told  me  that  i  called  for 10  min, every time  i  hang up i look  at my phone  screen  to  check up  the time  od  usage.  i  ask to talk  to  their  supervisor they put mr on hold then  after 6 min  got  disconnected.  also  when  your  are  on the  phone   after 1 min they  disconnected intentionally so   mi brother  call me  again and  they  charge you  $14.99 for  connection. When i  asked  a  legacy inmate  sale s rep  if  they  will  charge me  for  connection again  he  said  yes!  i  told him it's  not  my  problem!  he  said  it's because i'm  calling  from  my  cell phone  or  i  pressed a button,  bullsh*t!! i  was  at home,  the  he  said that  my  friend  from jail was pulling  the  cord!  bunch of  excuses!  f***ing  people  take  advantage  of  you,  they  are not  here to help.  if  anyone  know  how to  take  legal action?  i  will  appreciate it. thanks.

I have had the same experience with Legacy. My boyfriend has been incarcerated since April so I've been using Legacy Communications pre paid service. Lately this service has been disconnecting my calls at the 14 minute mark sometimes sooner. The phone calls are supposed to last 20 minutes so I'm always losing at least 6 to 7 minutes. I've already filed over 6 claims and like you I'm also on my cell phone which never loses the service when I talk to him. Its really starting to get me mad because I spend a lot of money on these calls and then they always get disconnected.

These people don't care and they blame it on the jail system. They say county jail is what the problem is and that supposedly their the ones that have to do their investigation. Legacy won't issue refunds which I think is rediculous since I spend a lot of money on my prepaid account and I'd be willing to file a lawsuit with you against these people and set them straight. I hate that they don't care and they have very poor professional communication skills and they're rude when you talk to them. I should turn them in to the BBB. If anyone is interested in joining me against this company. Contact me. Thanks.
