I paid Legalzoom to file an LLC for me in Texas.  They screwed everything up and then tried to charge me to correct their mistakes.  The first the consumer needs to be aware of is that they will not email you anything including confirmations of what they had done.  Everything is done over the phone so when they do screw something up, it is your word against theirs.  They do this on purpose so you can't go back and prove to them via emails of their mistake.

When speaking with the Legalzoom rep, I told them I wanted the agent address to be my office.  When I received the final LLC papers from Legalzoom once the LLC had been formed, I found that they had made the agent address as my home address, not my office address.

I called them and they refused to correct this mistake at their expense and said if I wanted to correct the agent address to reflect my business address, I would have to pay them over $200 to file the address change with the state of Texas.  I refused to pay them this amount because they were the ones that made the mistake.

I spoke to several different managers and they refused to budge and became very arrogant and rude with me and finally refused to take my calls.  They asked me for proof of me instructing them to use my business address as the agent address, knowing full well that I had no proof since everything is done over the phone and they refuse to email you anything including a confirmation of how you had instructed them to set-up the LLC.

I would advise anyone needing any type of legalwork done to contact a local attorney. I found later that local attorneys charge about the same as what I had paid Legalzoom for form the LLC.  Also there are other internet based businesses that do the same type of work as Legalzoom, just not as well known because of all the advertising Legalzoom does.
