I hired Legion Express to move me from Wisconsin to Arkansas in December 2015.  I was told by Walter Alvarez that he did not contract out, and that all boxes would stay on the vehicle that they would be loaded on until delivery.  I asked if I needed additional insurance, and he said, "No", that his company was 100% guaranteed, and he assured me that every box would be delivered.  He called me every day for approximately a week, even on Sunday.  A smooth talker. I asked if he was BBB accredited, and he stated the BBB was just a "Rip-off", and stated, 'Why should I pay someone to grade me'"?  He sent me some links from a segment on 60 minutes.  I agreed to go with his company.  The moving men wrapped a $250 trash container for me and reinforced the largest box I had, asking me what was inside.  I told them linens, blankets, quilts and comforters (all new).

The insurance company contacted me wanting pictures of each individaual items and receipts, which I did not have.  I sent photos of the boxes I had stacked up before the move, and luckily the trash container was in the picture.  I have been offered $62 from the insurance company.  MovingClaims.net.  I rejected the amount, and now it's in dispute.  I wrote the BBB, and Legion did not respond in 30 days, so the case was closed.  I have now contacted the Attorney General, and Legion decided to contact the BBB after approximately 4 months.

To make matters worse, I am now getting harassing emails from this company calling me an "Idoit, and Moron" if I think the BBB will help me and that he do not care if I write the President of the US.  I have been advised to contact the police in the state that he's in to file a complaint.  I used a credit card for $100 and the rest he wanted in cash.

This man is "Out of control"!

Still Refusing to Pay After Two Years

It's been two years since this company has refused to pay me.  They have ignored corresponcence from BBB, Attorney General, Consumer Protections and DOT on the Federal Level.  Walter called me and called me names and cursed at me.  He told me know one would help me.  This company has shown me that they are very "SHADY'.  Perhaps there should be a classa action lawsuit filed against Legion.  He also need media exposure.  I tried calling channel 5 in Chicago, but since I am out of state now, I could not file a complaint.  Perhaps someone in Chicago, that has had the same problem could call and file a report.

 

How can Walter Alveraz keep getting away with this.  It's my belief that he is putting positive review on Movers.com himself.  I will continue to write these review if its 50  years for now.  Great things happen in numbers.  Let get the word out about this dishonst person.  It makes me belief that his company is stealing whatever they want, knowing they will not be held accountable for their actions.

Refusing to Pay for My Loss

Legion Express told me today that they owe me nothing.  According to movingclaims.net, Legion owes me, and told me to call customer service at Legion.  I called, and pressed option 2.  I was transferred to the owner's wife's voice mail.  I immediately hung up.  A call came through with a different number, and the person said I am Allison hold on.  Walter came on the phone saying he was going to sue me for defamation and slander.  He also sent me an earlier email saying he was going to sue me for $250,000.  By definition of slander and defamation, when you tell lies.  I can back up everything I have said.  I have emails, which are too horrible to share.  He thinks because he sent it under a Gmail address that it can't be traced back to him.  Most people have more than one email address, I know I do.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, please let me know.  I have been waiting for over six months for payment and now he says he owes me nothing.  Movingclaims manger, Jenney, said she called him and he didn't answer.  I stated because he probably knew it was regarding me.  She said she sent him an email and he had to reply to her email.

Please keep good documentations: recordings, emails and voicemails.  

I have all of the above.  He appears to be a "Bully" not a professional!  I am a senior citizen, and he does not seem to care about that!
