I recently had a brush with Le Modeln, but I have previous modeling experience so luckily I sniffed it out... the same way I couldn't help but sniff out Linda's B.O. I then found the other Ripoff Report posts regarding Lemodeln and they confirmed my suspicions.

NEVER give a modeling agency a "consultation fee" ($80)... a "booking fee" ($400/year or $30/month... whatever...they make sure it's all very confusing.)... 500 headshots ($500... You can get 500 headshots for less than $200).

She also told me that most of her talent markets themselves through the website or has to call in to ask to be submitted for a job... this is NOT how the business works. The agent works for you and calls you when there is a call that's suitable for you.

Talent agents DO NOT give crybaby stories about what a tough life they've had... she's rollin' in money... please, don't think otherwise.

Talent agents DO NOT spend 3 hours trying to talk you into it. The pics on the walls and books of people she supposedly represented is ridiculously outdated and insulting - including the secretary from The Beverly Hillbillies... as if. She'll show you a headshot from the early 80s and then show you a headshot of the same person, but from the late 90s, and say she was responsible for changing the person's look. I almost laughed at that point. I thought next she was going to show me a picture of Halle Berry.

Fraudulent activity by Linda Weaver

AUTHOR: Justice for Actors - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, December 01, 2012

After driving over two hours to Ohio to meet with Linda weaver I was also very upset that I did investigate her .

She was hired to work on a movie after casting agent got fired for not doing her job. Linda lasted two days on the set and she also was fired. After having every person fill out info which she collected and used to try to promote her failing business. The producers and production staff thought she was crazy! Why won't the Ohio Better Business Bureau bring her fraud acts to a halt ? I feared for my safety and got out of her office as quickly as possible ! It was like stepping back into the 70's! We should all make appointments and not show up. ... She certainly did not care about wasting my time or anyone else's . Disgusting !!

Met Her Too

AUTHOR: beenthere22 - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, November 29, 2012

I met her too and some director, they actually had the nerve to hold an open casting call for a film.  I went all the way out there, some other girl there even came from Detroit, MI to attend. They acted like they were a big company and the director was a big filmmaker, we all thought they were doing serious auditions, some little girl and her mom came out of the audition so happy and the little girl was just so thrilled and she said enthusiastically, I check the casting notices everyday. All the auditions we held in a room off the lobby with all this studio equipment inside, it looked professional but when everyone that went in came out happy they got a part in the film, I knew something was wrong. While we waited our turns we seen they kept pushing everybody there to set appointments with Linda before leaving. Then I finally go in to do my audition and they have me literally say like one word, then they both started raving about how well I did and told me I had a great look then they booked me to play the part of a nurse. Odd yes, but not impossible so of course I was excited these are the moments I'm dreaming of, so when I walked out I didn't hesitate to stop at the front desk to make sure I set my appointment with linda. My two friends who came out with me for support and safety reasons both are not actors, both have absolutely no acting experience, both have no training or even an interest in being an actors, but Linda begged them to also audition, so they did and when they came out of the room they had both booked parts as well; however, we were all excited, thinking we had booked parts working with a big director and a big casting director and we'll all get to experience it together, so I and one of my friends set appointments immediately after to comeback and see Linda. My other friend just didn't care to, he just doesn't care much about acting period. Well that day with my suspicions, being that I am a professional actress who has worked on huge hollywood films before, I thought that their demeanor seemed a little off so I decided to research them a little more and I found out that they're liars. The director has never done any big films;in fact, his film credits seem like those of a college student still in school or some want to be director who doesn't quite yet know what he's doing. He also had a bunch of fake pictures up like he was on a huge television networks red carpet, but after looking closely I noticed that the pictures looked as though he had held the camera and taken them himself in front of a fake backdrop and keep in mind that these pictures are on his IMDB page as if he had been there and there were no big directorial credits linked to his name at all. Now, Linda passed out a paper at the audition that said she worked on casting with huge films such as die hard, but that was never proven and her name isn't linked to that big film or any other big films anywhere. And if you read her information closely you'll notice that she claims to have worked with talent that ended up in big films, but however, she never says they did it through her or with the help of her company and again her name wasn't linked to any big films;in fact, the only films I could find linked to her name at all were that of her so called big director's films A.K.A. the director from the casting call. Well, we all decide to pass on the project and figured we'd never hear from them again, but we did. My friend and I got calls letting us know the appointment would cost $80 just to have Linda tell us one on one what it would take to make it in the industry and keep in mind we just wanted to audition for a film we weren't looking for agents. We both declined, but the calls didn't stop there. After not showing up to our appointments we ALL THREE started to get call after call to set an appointment with Linda and we just kept saying no, then after weeks of not receiving scripts that were suppose to be emailed to us that same day, we started getting calls about meeting up with them to start filming, but we hadn't even received scripts. They just kept trying to get us to come back to her office, it was like telemarketing and when we lost interest they started talking about the film again to get out interest back. Anyways it was a mess. Very unprofessional and probably the worse way to do it. You never know what you're walking into with these open casting calls anymore, it was definitely a scam to make Linda and company some $$$$.

Linda Weaver - Lemodlen

AUTHOR: Justice for Actors - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 06, 2011

I had the very same experience as above mentioned and it is 2011! So obviously, the agency is using the same tactics and scams.   The biggest insult was when her "big talent" walked in the door...what a surprise!  It was all planned and very well produced, just like a screen play!

I wish I would have read this report prior to driving and wasting my gas and time.
