I do not recommend this dealership. You live and learn. I needed a vehicle immediately so I could continue to work and was unable to drive the car I had beforehand. I did it on my own; had no one to coach me with checking the vehicle out or with the contract. Furthermore, I should have listened to the rumors about Fords. I purchased a 2006 Freestyle in March of 2008. Approximately 6-7 months afterward, my transmission went up. Ok, thankfully, they went ahead and replaced it. Here now in May 2010, the transmission is going up again...back up about 4-6 months ago, the car was leaking transmission fluid and power steering fluid. I found out the trans fluid was low, because the car started acting up. Prior to this incident, but after the transmission was replaced, I got some type of transmission maintenance done. It costed me about $260. So back to the leak. I called up Liberty and I get this service advisor, James. I always get him, not too fond of him. So he starts throwing out this figure of 400-600 for them to look at the car to see where the leak is coming from. I declined. I took it to a transmission place to look at it, was told, some bolt, screw or something was loose. They tightened it up, filled me up with trans fluid and charged me about $35. Before this, no one else had been messing around with the trans except Liberty Ford, which leads me to believe they didn't properly secure whatever was loose. So now, I don't know what to do because I cannot afford a $5000 transmission, I need my car for work, I need my job to pay my household bills and take care of my children and myself. I had Len Stoler do a diagnostic, they charged me $95. Liberty Ford told me $180 to diagnose, plus other fees once they took the pan off and etc, etc, etc. Never told me yes or no if they would help out with this issue. In addition, the car makes some kind of noise like something is knocking under the hood, I just had to replace a ball joint, it still needs some other part that connects to the ball joint. Theres some "bed squeaking" noises the car makes. The steering wheel shakes. It has a remote start up, but I stopped using it because I would be in the house later in the day, and the car would have started on its own!  When I went to get my title, found out it was a manufacturer buy back. At the time of purchase, they showed me some paper with some previous MINOR complaints, like windshield chip, noise that they 'could not duplicate' and heated seat doesn't work. But the paper showed these things were taken care of. No one but the MVA, told me that the title was branded, and that this car was brought back by Ford and it was once under the Lemon Law. I sincerely believe this car was sold to me in this condition and I further believe that some individuals at Liberty Ford were aware that this car was basically a piece of junk. My loan is $25000. I've only had it for two years. Still owe five more years, but the car is of no good to me. I needed reliable transportation, now I basically have none. Mechanic told me if I continued to drive it as it is, damage could be done to the engine because the computer has put the car in a fail safe mode which keeps the car in third gear. I left a message with the service manager, Kevin Lewis, but have not heard from him yet. Everybody nowadays is only worried about themselves and keeping their pockets fat. I should say SOME, not ALL. Because I have come across some decent people in this situation, but so far, none of them from Liberty Ford. They just want me to just keep bringing the car in and forking out hundreds of dollars. And I just don't have it like that. I didn't go into this thinking I was going to have many repair issues on top of paying a car note. Also, those "free" oil changes, only apply  if you keep up with those high priced maintenance packages. Last thing, shortly after I got the car, I was waiting in the back for the guys to clean the car. I asked about the oil changes, and their reply was "I wouldn't want them to do my car."
