Liberty Medical Supply, INC Horrible Customer Service, No complaints department, and Lied Repeatedly Salem Virginia
I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes while pregnant. Found out with three months left in pregnancy. Called my insuranceas directed by my hospital. Insurance said they provided diabetic supplies via Liberty and gave me the number to call, which I did while still in the hospital. The hospital gave me about a weeks worth of testing supplies and needles upon discharge and Liberty took all my info and said that the supplies would be shipped out and I would recieve them in 7-10 business days. I waited the 10 days and called when there had been no sign of a package. Turns out they never shipped anything and said they needed prior authorization, but had not informed me in any fashion. I worked with my doctor and liberty for three days getting the p.a. done. I was then told that I would recieve my supplies in 7-10 days, again. I waited, again, to still receive nothing. I called again and then they informed me that I was not in the system from my insurance and therefore had not shipped the supplies, and again, did not bother to let me know. I spent the next day getting that straightened out and was told once again 7-10 days. I threw a fit because I had already spent about $70-80 dollars on supplies out of my own pocket waiting for them. It was over a month from the time I initially contacted them to the time they actually got my supplies to me and then they didn't even get the order right and I still had to buy supplies out of pocket! I received a bill for about $75 dollars and a week after that they call me to tell me I owe them the money. I threw another fit and stated that because of their lack of action I already had to spend about that much just to get by and the order was enough for the entire three months. They called EVERY DAY for that money. I finally gave in a paid after my baby was born. Today I recieved another delievery that I DID NOT ORDER, nor was I told that they would continue to ship supplies AND another bill. I have no one I can complain to, as I have tried, and no one to hold them accountable for anything! I plan on sending the new package back to them. Had I not been able to pay the money to keep supplies, mine and my baby's health would have been at risk. I asked them numerous times what it was that I could do to get through and was told what ever I chose, or it was up to me.
