Liberty Mutual is NOT in business to "do what is right" for their customers. STAY CLEAR of them! And beware of all insurance companies that try to win your business based on clever advertisements & lowest cost premiums. You'll end up wasting your time & money. They just jack up the premium the next year. Don't fall for it. You get what you pay for in the end & you'll end up pissed off & they'll have collected your premiums & will give you every sorry excuse why they can't honor your policy.
You'll never win, even in court according to www.FarmBureauLies.com where that homeowner has spent years studying how his insurance company ripped him off big time after his home fire & how insurance companies "work" you over in court. He proved how all insurance companies are conniving thanks to their teams of well-paid lawyers. How do you think they've amassed billions in real estate & other holdings from hardworking people's premiums with little to no payout? Does a light bulb finally go off in your head?
Liberty UN-Mutual has a LONG list of unscrupulous tactics & dealings with not paying out when they should according to their policies. There are lots of people's feedback on the internet regarding vehicle & disability insurance claims that have not been taken care of by Liberty Mutual. They are a total sham company.
We were loyal customers for 11 years & paid over $40,000 in policy premiums for several homes & vehicles & made 1 no-fault weather-related claim on our primary home during this time. After making another wind damage roof claim on our rental home, it resulted in their refusal to replace our greater than 75% wind damaged roof. Liberty UN-Mutual's adjuster put on a specatacular show on my roof while my roofer, husband & I watched him stomp his feet, jump up & down & yell at all of us that we must have "sabataged" our own roof shingles!
He was full of it. Bad acting & bullying was his tactic to try & throw us off guard so we would back down so they would not have to pay for a new roof. We requested 2 more Liberty UN-Mutual adjusters come out & they concurred with the first adjuster's report. This was during the Spring of 2012 when 7 tornado storms hit the North Texas area & insurance company claims were at an all time high. They did not want to pay for a new roof for anyone. They were instructing their adjusters to not write up total roof replacement reports.
I overheard a conversation with the 3rd Liberty UN-Mutual adjuster colluding with my roofer to get him to side with his report & he would hire him afterwards. They had no idea I was within earshot of this conversation. A week later, he went to work for the adjuster. With 20-20 hindsight, we've learned that we should have hired our own independant roof adjuster & not let Liberty UN-Mutual bully us with their payroll adjusters or even let a roofer defend our claim wh ois easily bribed. Liberty UN-Mutual threw us a "few hundred dollars" to appease us towards repairing a few shingles. You can't repair a "few shingles" when >75% of the roof was damaged & needed replacement. It cost us $13,000 to replace the roof.
Liberty UN-Mutaul is rated an "F" for defaulting on their obligation of our homeowner policy.
